I think you are complaining about the hidden system there more than ANTS...

Also, ANTS didn't cause this game, if anything, it helped make sure it wasn't all 100% w% players.

Don't be such a n00b. =P

It's excellent proof that the Win % based ANTS system is not functioning properly, it's supposed to prevent games like that from taking place.
Also, fl- said that ANTS & Hidden go hand in hand Wink.

It's pretty obvious to everyone that ANTS does stop some games like that from taking place.  Of course it doesn't stop them all though, no system is perfect.  Infact, any system we ues will not be able to prevent forefall, baka and myself from creating a new account and playing newbs.  Does that mean the system sucks?  Of course not, no system is flawless.  Though, if someone said "the system is not functioning properly" anytime a game like that occured it would be really stupid or naive.

I know you want to prove ANTS is terrible, but at least be intelligent about it.  The negatives of ANTS are the fact that it prevents some games from occuring.  It's definitely not ideal because if it's too strict it's hard to get a game and if it's too lose people like baka and NRG (100% win each) will be playing newbs.

Also, as for that game, I just created a new account, so my w% was 33%.

You could still have 100% and be a n00b. ANTS only factors in the win/loss ratio, it doesn't count total games played.

I suggested a while back that they should really take amount of games played into account.
That way you'll also have more grasp on stacked CP/Vet/RB games rather than just stacked win% games.
(As more games -> generally more cps, vet & rbs)

I think new players would rather face off against a 100% player that has played 8 games than a 70% played that has played 80.

And a rating system is just superior to all of that.  Yada yada yada.   Also total games with w% still is flawed.  I'm sure if we used that you'd say use vet, and use this and use that.

The point is rating system is where it's at.  Wait for 2.0.  Play if you like, don't if you don't like.

Except a rating system would have to wait till 2.0 which could still be far off, taking amount of games into account is a 'minor adjustment' and would already go a significant way in the right direction for the time being. I know you have no coders available at this time but it's definately something to take into consideration if 2.0 ends up being more than a month away.

Well, I can't say too much.  But 2.0 is a lot closer than many people think.

However, we are shutting down most other work.  Balance changes will be straight forward and simple, and programming tasks not related to 2.0 will mostly be avoided.
