They are treated like crap over there and they help Iraqi's and help all over the world. Our political issues aren't the soldiers fault. Its usually someone higher up. If America didn't have soldiers, we would be nothing. Yet, all they get is disrespect. The soldiers are the best of our nations.

They are one of the very very few occidental army that still use to brutalize theyr POW, they are bullshit they are hated from everyone and take the most high casualites ever (see afganistan or iraq), they are brother only of other americans and weapon seller company.

I have many good friends who are either in the military or are getting ready to be commissioned in a few weeks and each and everyone of them are good people. I don't know how they are able to do it though, considering the disrespect and all around stupidity that is directed at them from people here are foreign.

I sincerely hope that at some point in the future the rest of the world needs the American military and when they do I sincerely hope we give them the middle finger.

Note that I don't support the views of some Europeans in this thread on the US military though, that being said anti-americanism is pretty popular all over the world nowadays since the invasion of Iraq. Neither US superiority feelings nor European anti-americanism belong in this thread.

I forgot to tell a tale of an american soldier during his tour of duty in italy. He was an f14 pilot, he was drunk or under effect of some shit, he flyed too low on a mountain near a mountain lift (you call it sky-pass??) he taked down the lift killing 20+ civilan.

Us governement never gaved us the permission to arrest him.

He was bringed back in usa and promoted to the rank of capitan.

I am highly socially liberal, I am fiscally conservative ie old school republican (before the ultra-conservatives took power) I believe in personal freedom and small government.

I have been against US military action abroad since the beginning, I believe time is better spent helping countries like Dafur (you know that one that EVERYONE is ignoring -Bono) and providing humanitarian relief abroad
