Hey gents, im a new player here in EiR, i wanna say the game looks cool, and i watched ur tutorials and i would like to play. Problem is nobody wants to play with me, either the allies are too strong or when i join a team the other dude jumps ship. Very frustrating and its really turning me off, is it always like this? Should i just suck it up or go away?

Im really just bringing this to your attention, im guessing you are trying to bring new players to the game, possibly you should consider some sort of system which would make it beneficial for players to play with or against newer players, because frankly this is ridiculous that i have to wait such an extended amount of time to get a game.

I am bitching, but mainly i want to bring this to your attention because im not going to continue to wait around for games until im old and gray just because the mod looks cool. Thanks for your time.

We've been noticing that... Everyone has been feeling the effects of the new launcher system, which frankly doesn't help things much. Some Devs have a habit of solving a problem by introducing a different problem... Sometimes...

Which I empathize with, so to show that they get stuff done, without completely giving in to the demands of the angry mob/group of whiners... (Not to worry, you wouldn't be in the latter of the two...)

In any case, EIR always seems to develop, in one way or another...

Personally, I'd like them to raise the popcap back to 52 (I think it was...) or something of the sort... That would surely mix things up a bit.

ill give you a game anytime, names McPage on ventrillo.
Often people might jump ship becuase they have previously arranged to play with certain people.

Also, I lost a game due to not enough anti-infantry units, so airborne get double damage at each vet level.

More changes to come.

Arranged teams?  What is this notion?  We don't have that on the allied side as soldiers die everyday on the field.  You never know who is going into battle with you.

First off, welcome to the mod  Smiley

Second, trust me when I say it isn't just you that waits a long time to get a game going, even more experienced and good players have a hard time. In fact I would dare to say that newbies and super good players are the ones that have the hardest time getting a game going. Mainly cause most people are afraid to play WITH new people and others are scared to play AGAINST skilled players.

The fact that you can't see who you're playing against just helps to propagate the fear through the unknown factor. Anyways enough bitching about the current system.

I'll be honest in saying that I'll mainly play with new people in larger games (3v3, 4v4 etc) where I have at least 1 other person I've played with before, it just makes the game more enjoyable for me and frankly reduces the frustration on the off chance I get that new guy who just really doesn't know what he is doing at all and didn't put any time to read some of the guides or watch some of the video tutorials/podcasts, in those cases at least I have 1 other teammate who knows what he's doing and that I can try to coordinate with to help 'carry' that 3rd or 4th player. I think a lot of the other 'veterans', if that's even the appropriate term, kinda do the same thing. At least I see that more often then say a 2v2 that a new person creates and a vet person joining right beside them.

I can tell by your post and your constructive criticism that you're already on your way to put yourself a step ahead of many of the other of the new folks (not to put a negative light on newbies) and honestly wish more new people would introduce themselves and give some feedback as I think it helps the mod in general.

In closing, again welcome to the mod, hopefully I'll get to play with or against you sometime. (Also what side do you play?)
