I am downloading EIR to a better computer and i got an error with the launcher is said
       this must be placed in the company of heroes directory.

Any clues?

Clues:
1. A thread asking for technical support, should be in the technical support forum.
2. The Launcher expects to be in a directory with the RelicCOH.exe file present.

You sure your .exe file is named exactly RelicCOH.exe (case does not matter).

If it is... damn. I might have to remove that condition..

I think the problem might be that when you tell eir to add desktop shortcuts it puts a copy of the launcher on the desktop. What you need to do in that case is make a shortcut to the launcher in the company of heroes folder and put that on the desktop instead.

Anything is possible with Vista. =D

I'm a little busy right now, but I'll come back to this ASAP. I'm going to need to give you a testing version, to see exactly what the issue is.
