Just an FYI, you can't play Doomsday with the original HoI 2 so far as I've seen. At least, my friend couldn't when we tried to test
yep, you also cant play DD vs. Arma. |

Armageddon also has a Harry Turtledove-esque scenario where the world is completely different.
Britain is Stalinist, the Kingdom of Bourbon still exists, Prussia controls central Europe, the United States and Confederate States are separated. I think it's supposed to be a scenario created for balanced multiplayer.

armageddon has some nice extras. new scenarios, ships can have brigades attached(like fire control, anti sub, anti aircraft), you can assign a brigade to a division in production menu and dont have to do it manually, oh, and the AI got improved. but that was the last patch and not arma itself. its a fair deal for the 8€ or whatever it costs to download. |

Though I'm not sure the Arma scenarios really work with singleplayer. I tried playing the CSA and kept getting steamrolled before I could do ANYTHING.

You need Hearts of Iron II Doomsday v1.3a to play in this campaign. I have no problems teaching you just make sure you have that version. Hit me up on vent or PM if you need a download location for it.
