At the moment its pretty useless in game couse its not mobile and after first shots axis knows where it is and instantly follows some fast unit (puma or bike) to his position and than insta of map arty or V2 from axis.

this really need some change dont you think?

I think you may be referring to just the Howitzer, which of course being stationary is gonna be an easy target for off maps. But the Howie is a tier 1 ability and V1's and firestorms are tier 3 abilities with only 2 uses each. If you wanna use the howie tier 3 then you get a significantly reduced cooldown and more effective barrages, which are both linked to the anticipation of off map.

Anyways, you gotta keep your howie protected. I have the T3 artillery so I have a great desire to keep it alive, so this is what I do.

Make sure your howie is in a safe spot, put it behind of a building, or even between buildings, or if you are playing a 2v2, you can afford to put it to one side of the map, the less amount of angles of attack your opponent has the better.

I also put a triage center near enough to the howie to where its crew will get healed, this stops it from being easy mortar or nebel food. I also put an MG nest that covers both the triage and the howie. I then tend to keep an AT gun with AP rounds in it near the howie as well.

I then build tank traps to cover it as well, I place them far enough away that something behind them can't hit the howie, and I also place them in a way that will make anything going around it, walk right into my AT gun. Same with wire and mines. And last but not least, I give my engs a flamethrower and keep them near the howie to prevent stormtrooper sneak attacks.

I know that's a lot of resources and pop cap to keep it safe, but imo it's worth it.

Yeah if you want to do the Triage+Howy thing then you are major V1 bait, as I can attest since two of mine were eaten up by v1s in a game.

It's pointless. You'll run out of other troops too early if you deploy any significant number of howitzers.  Sure, you're relatively immune to v1s, but its not worth losing all your tank support.

Personally i think the howie needs to get a health buff with its T3.  Or some kind of received damage reduction.
