That's exactly what I meant. We need a buff up to a V2!

main problem as i see it is that US is always attacking and attackers need 3:1 forces ratio in order to be sucessfull... (atleest that is what we were teached in the army).
Curently game have 1:1 forces ratio (having ballance in mind i guess) and with so fragile artillery US have in most matches slim to none chance of victory...

You shouldn't need a 3:1 ratio. All you need is better tactics.

3:1 Ratio? Eeeek?
Sounds like poor infantry training.
3:1, with all that high tech equipment against post (and even some pre) ww2 weaponry like in afghanistan?!
I suggest the US get some MG42s /3s (we'll have some spare ones soon, as the german army is just switching to a new one (MG4) for infantry
)
Alltho most of the infantryman i know would prefer keeping the 42, me included, its so reliable and unbreakable. And still the best one around for the most tasks. Its just a bit heavy but so what..

Your statement: it is too hard for Allies to succesfully attack. For reasons 1) no 3:1 ratio 2) artillery too fragile.
Then how come Axis can ever succesfully attack? They do not have a 3:1 ratio, and how fragile is their on-map artillery? They have no on-map artillery at all! In WW2 the Flak 88 the Wehrmacht gets was used as artillery, in this game we can't.

Ah yes, of course, the stuka and nebel
. I always forget those, in my head I count them as 'not real artillery'
. They are, but even mortars are technically artillery. Nice comparison: "Axis mortar beats allied Mortar!" - "But Howitzer beats Nebel!" haha.
Can't say Stukas and Nebels are really more fragile than Howitzers. Probably the same, but they are also mobile AND have a shorter range so they are closer to danger. At least Caliopes are significantly sturdier.
My point was, the howitzer is not a problem in my opinion

but they arent really effective artillery pieces in terms of destroying something
If you are lucky with a barrage, you hit a weapon crew directly and they burn to death before they manage to pack up cause the player didnt allready pack up when he heard the barrage start.
With a lucky howitzer barrage you eradicate a complete assault force (I said lucky, dont start bitching I know it sometimes also missfires but what it hits it sends to hell)

was playing Dr.Nick and Bodybag yesterday, both inf comp.
had 4 gren squads moving across a field. ONE Round from a howie eradicated 2 entire squads and brought a 3rd one down to 1 man. Show me that with a Nebel or Stuka...

You can't.
I chased after a Stuka with a tank and it outran me, later killing the tank itself.
Show me that with a Howitzer

There are many many times when you fire a howitzer and it kills nothing at all. If you didnt blob 3 squads like that the howitzer woudnt be effective.

oh my, 3 Gren Squads moving a cross a field. i guess ill start to move them one by one to get the killed by the 3 rifle squads that wait at the other end for me...
and yeah, that howie cant run, but you can just set up an AT Gun there and thats that.
i moved a Stug to said Howitzer, was full health when it started firing. at the same time, AT gun starts shooting the STUG. The Howie survived, the Stug died. apart from that, Nick and Bodybag told me that it wouldnt have mattered cause they have 3 and 4 howies in their companys. show me an axis company with 3-4 walking stukas...they just cost too much. 360 Fuel, 120 Mu x 3 or 4 ... no way

I was in that match with Libertine, versus Dr.Nick and Bodybag. I can say Libertine blobbed less than the average player, also less than Dr.Nick and Bodybad themself did. Too bad I lost my Stuka to one of their first arty shoots because of awesome pathing.
We had pretty bad luck with the company composition as well, 2x Defensive (two or three 88s in his company, one in mine) versus 2x Infantry (3 and 4 Howitzers, at least one of them had the T4 for 5x quick off-maps).
They didn't have much to call in in the end tho.
