Hey guys, I recently was looking through my Google docs and I found this proposal I wrote up for EIR a while back.  I was thinking of deleting it, but it does have some good ideas.  So, I finished it off and published it.

In this I outline some cool ideas such as dynamic vet, probably the most fair resource system possible, and and radically different progression.  The best part of it is the modular nature of all of the systems.  FL- is doing everything by himself and, w/ some of these systems, we could leverage a sizable fraction of the community as a workforce.

Give it a shot, its pretty long and I might have gone off on some tangents, but its mostly complete.

Looks pretty interesting.

So, say for instance, under your new doctrine system, if you want to go tank reapers/heavy AT, you could vet up your ATG's with attribute bonuses?

It sounds pretty good, but doesn't that eliminate a lot of the flavor of the (current) doctrine abilities? For instance you'd have a slightly better ATG rather than a super awesome one?

ah, but the new point of doctrines is to provide vet, so you can focus on immediete rewards or delayed but slightly more powerful rewards.  Also, every player gets customized vet so every player has more attachment to their company

Eh. A mature company could theoretically be three times the size of a newbie company. It wouldn't be much fun since you'd have no CP abilities. But think about it. If you use current base company size, someone could spend 3000 munitions on 21 squads of KCH and still have 2400 munitions left over. :|

But you can tweak RB rewards and such, so. Smiley

personally i love your idea. sounds very professional and thought out.

sadly it would never be implemented seeing as the developers have already decided on what they will be doing.

i really like the individual unit upgrade part, really would add allot of customization to your army. this would make sens from a realistic stand point as it shows how each army is trained and equipped differently. a veteran army would be much more skilled than a fresh one, this would make ppl even more dedicated to forming there company.

I really like the idea of this.

The only thing is that, lets say you have one ub3r platoon that you have fully upgraded, completely customized, takes up all the pop. A second later a V1 rocket lands almost randomly and out of nowhere and kills them.
