I have had some time away from the mod, due to certain attitudes of new players and issues with dropping out of games in anger.

On my return, I find that now, people are dropping from any game where they lose a precious unit, or seem to be at a slight disadvantage.

The last game was the final straw.  Not dropping names, but dropping because you lost your initial call in is NOT reason to quit.

I wait and spend precious spare time to play, and dont like to see *veteran* players do this sort of thing.

Just a rant

Well, Dropping due to loosing a vet unit doesn't help you or the team. You will still have lost that unit at the end of the battle, and your better off being mad and going into a blood rage and destroying the enemy (like me). Grin

Almost every game where a player drops it desynchs. I make it a point to stay until the game completely finishes.

Yeah, but dropping BEFORE 5 mins is up, forcing an abandon or frozen game is NOT fair.

If you drop for legitimate reasons, thats fine - but PURPOSELY dropping and taking away a victory and your own loss is not.

Torjado, Ive seen you act like a child on the forums - thats fine, post what you want.  But when it comes to an EVENLY MATCHED game, and you lose your first call on again - I will submit an abuse report.

So nyer.  Tongue

someones loses first call in and purposly quits... such a bad thing.

Honestly, why even try to play.  And it wazs Torhado that did it.  No connection problems, not even an offer to replay the game.  I am not above dropping names for that kinda thing.

i cant really blame smokaz i mean playing against puddin is like trying to fight off breast cancer. You might win and do it and be a bad ass but you'll feel sick and mutilated forever.

Puddin' spamtm is soulcrushing... what's hard to understand about that?

There's no reason you should drop because you have a bad start. You have to just get over it and play on.

I honestly never thought you were.  Torjado is a longtime member of this community and very reliable.  Perhaps you should consider alternatives before going out on a witch hunt.

Not really a witch-hunt, just a culmination of it happening more than once - Torjado was just the last person to do it.

Like I said on Vent - I didnt think he'd do something like that *shrug*

I have an idea: When registering for EiR 2.0, you must provide a valid home phone #, cell phone #, home adress, P.O. Box adress, your Social Security #, and maybe your federal pin #, along with their IP Adress and E-Mail.

After a person d/c's (drops, usually XD), and assuming that person is NOT called lompocus (because I have honest-to-goodness internet problems), all of their personal information is e-mailed to every other person in teh game so they can spam them to all hell until they feel like crap!

How about just address, and when you do something like this the communtiy gets their 2.0 plastic cups and urinates in them and mails them to your house. Seems reasonable, you drop, I send you lemonade...

Have you definative proof that torjado dropped deliberatly?   if not be careful who you flame.  In general ive seen it where the player quits and leaves thier teammates in the larch about 20min into the game thats deplorable, but im not going to name names (at all).

Well considering his teammates commented on how he wasnt happy and dropped out [because of it]

Im not saying it was on purpose, just ranting about how annoying its getting by happening more often.

Now, thats it.

Nyer. (Yes, with tounge out - please take post with grain of salt as its intended)

I'm really really sorry about this. I haven't played in about a month, and I had a really tough day in school today. I finally had time to get in a game and my first call in, which I usually keep the support teams alive at least 15 or so minutes just got instantly annihilated by off map arty. My mind sorta mushed and I went a bit off the deep end and hit my reset button in a rage. I was too embarrassed to get on vent when my computer restarted.

It takes a big man to apologise in the face of an angry man! (Im not angry lol) - so hats off to you Wink

Everyone has days like that, so I can understand.

Hope things improve in your personal life (school) etc =)

Peace out
