The thing I find most astonishing, is that you managed to mis-spell every. single. word in the title of this thread.

For reference:
"Almighty Schreks / Bazookas"

To the actual point:  No, never, not gonna happen.

My other question, if you get overrun by a swam of axis, where are your anti blob weapons? A single BAR squad can suppress an entire blob, put an HMG nearby and they will never get up, then just run them over with infantry or a Croc.

Sigh, ampm ally 50. cals dont suppress very well at all, a single bar gets killed by a blob. running over a inf blob with a inf blob doesnt work if you consider the higher rifleman price ....

Yes you are going to lose a couple units, get over it. I run HMGs up to lay down suppressing fire even though they will probably die. Same deal, get over the unit loss.

Oh, and .30 cals suppress quite well when you are not up against Blitz, they suppress my infantry very reliably, and the ones I capture suppress even better =)

Lol, what is FL- released it early but buried it in the website so you had to find it like a scavenger hunt, that would be great.

***** Well historically, bazookas and shreks were designed as reusable AT. The panzerfaust was a one-shot weapon. So it does indeed make sense that they can fire multiple times. Also, their use would be greatly hampered if you had to micro the firing of them (the only option if you limit their use).

One of the great pulls of EiR is that it plays very much like vCoH. It enhances the game, not overwrite it. That doctrine really needs to stay in place as much as possible.

If you don't like the way CoH is go play another game. Idono what "blobs" your talking about since it's very hard to field that many shreks and rangers on the field at one time.

A single BAR squad won't suppress an entire blob, heh.

Unless you have a few BARs using suppression fire at once, then sure.

Actually, with the way suppression works, if the blob is in a, well, blob, it will.

I've tried it a few times and I was lucky to even suppress one squad out of the 4 or more volks horde I was facing. I don't know what else to say.

This is why: the nearby suppression radius for the BAR is 2. Compare that to the nearby suppression radius of the .30 cal which is 15.

That's why only 1 squad was suppressed. It will suppress that one squad and it will suppress them well. But not the other guys nearby.

AmPM, I've seen you make these posts about the BAR which are just wrong, and in an effort to keep things civil and because I dislike being suspended, I, and many others on this forum, would like you to rethink the way you think about the BAR, and stop making these claims like its an mini-MG42. That's what I have to say and I would like for you to please consider it, thanks. You're a great guy and a strong tactician, but it pains me to see you thinking this way. I just hope my statements here are clean enough to convey my anger with you while avoiding the fist of Akranadas.

I'm sorry dude, but if you want to suppress a blob, you're gonna need more than a lousy BAR.

Since the BAR is a timed ability, you can force target another squad, ya know, before the long timer goes away.  It's not exactly hard.

It will suppress it, combine it with a couple other rifle squads and its a party. Of course a single BAR rifle squad will not beat a blob, but you can use it to slow or stop one from moving in a meaningful way. Especially if you add a couple backup units.

Why should one infantry squad be able to kill a blob of infantry squads anyway?

Well, a MG42 can stop a blob where a .30 Cal will probably get outgunned. So why shouldn't BARs be able to stop a blob of infantry? They're afterall, the Allies's equivalent to heavy suppression.
