I need some topography maps of Italy( detailed photos) for an idea that I've been working on, pictures of Anzio and Sicily would be best.  I did some searching on my own but couldn't find any photos taken from aircraft or anything, specifically of where the allied invasion of Italy/Sicily took place.

Thanks.

Yeah, ones that show the layout in detail from the air, the ground, etc.

Your map will look like France due to the lack of Italian objects, architecture, textures, etc Wink.
Good luck either way!

I'm mainly interested in the landscape, layout, heights, peninsulas, etc.

Still need help if anyone can find me some good vivid photos.

I hate to latch my request onto Lolto's, but I desperately need any maps you can find for Dunkirk.

And here you go, Lolto. Payback for letting me borrow the thread for a second:

No problem, I think Topography was the wrong word to use, I need photos taken from the air of the areas of Anzio or Sicily, not maps.

Edit: I'll just make up a fictional map or something of what I have in mind.

For the layout a map is still the best to use. Streets, canals, railways shown and the height differences as well. Maybe like this one:

Some photographs of the region:
Anzio

Litturia

Cisterna

Campoleone station

Aprilia ("the factory")

Italy is quite hilly from what I've read in history books.

Italy has several rivers running from the coast inland. So it is very mountainous when traveling from north too south or the opposite, but rather flat from west too east and opposite.

a little here maybe, just search if it serves ur need:

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://budslawncare.com/57/pass.jpg&imgrefurl=http://budslawncare.com/57/340.htm&h=341&w=500&sz=26&hl=en&start=21&um=1&tbnid=vHdHXy0Dn6hIgM:&tbnh=89&tbnw=130&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dphoto%2Bsicily%2B1944%26start%3D20%26ndsp%3D20%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dopera%26rls%3Den%26sa%3DN

for sicily use a map, its quite hilly at some points, but you may also make a map containing also large fields and being flat like a flat iron.
