The FG42 was invented BECAUSE of the debatcle at Crete. If it was their during that time I have a feeling that most people here would chose that weapon.

Also the "De Lisle" was invented in 1942. The Battle of Crete took place in 1941.

Quote
The Fallschirmjägergewehr 42 (FG42) was an automatic rifle produced in Nazi Germany during World War II. The weapon was developed specifically for the use by paratroopers, who wanted a suitable gun after their experiences in the invasion of Crete. As a result, the FG42 was developed.

I would have chosen that gun if it was there in crete.
It's nothing less than a semiautomatic rifle.

Ok so I have to make a new role. I still will be on the German side but I need time to make a new person, but still the same name Hauptmann Felictas.
o and one question why cant I be a fighter pilot. Did it say for the axis to have one fighter pilot, we only have one diver bomber. o well, its not my call.

Actually, you can be a fighterpilot, being shot down above the island.
Maybe a good spotter because of it's experience.
Or just keep your caracter in mind, maybe there will be another roleplay anytime soon.

I just got some problems with creating my 'profile' because my characters in any kind of roleplay (I designed one already for D&D and others) always look the same, they are always sneaky people, something like rogues, assasins, sharpshooters, and such, and it's my general playstyle, (I guess I should really make a blitzcompany) and IF there will be a roleplay after this, I wan't something in reserve to be able to change something.
This is hard.

That's like saying it's okay to have another tank crew because the first one is technically in a tank destroyer Tongue

Try thinking of your character as an actual rounded individual, as opposed to an archtype of sorts.  It helps... put yourself in his shoes Smiley

Hmm...would it to much to ask to be a spotter or having a another pilot is out of the question?

Will there be a new thread to have the actual RP on? This one is already getting quite messy. Also, it didn't surprise me that there are already players who want to make their character somekind of badass hero with the Knights Cross.

Andrew's father was an airman during the Great War. Unlike most other British Airmen, his father returned from the war safely. His father very seldom told Andrew about his experiences, and began to drink heavily. His father was mostly indifferent to his existence, and this caused a desire to be recognized by him, which led him to join the army.

Andrew joined the army in 1940 during the London Blitz, right after leaving high school. He was then selected to be a radio operator. He joined 1st Platoon during the fall of Athens. After his squad launched a bayonet charge on an enemy machine-gun emplacement, 75% of his squad was gunned down, but the remnants made it to the machine gun and silenced it. Since one of the previous corporals died, he was promoted on the spot. He subsequently appropriated a luger from one of the dead Germans and was evacuated from Athens. _______________________________________ _______________________________________ _______

It's not about an archetype, I always make characters like this.
I can identify myself quite well with them, If I ever find a way to become invisible, I will do.
And I'm sure I buy some nightvision-googles as soon as I have spare money.
I can differentiate within that quite well.
Hmm, I'm working on the setup now.
