Wife has been giving me the 'look' lately so I've done nothing since I got back from Dallas this weekend. She bitched at me constantly when we got back because I hopped on to check messages/forums and said 'you always look at that stupid computer before you do anything else'. Blah, blah, blah... Frankly, my marriage is worth more than EIR ever will be so I need to make sure my actions reflect that...  Quite frankly, my marriage is great, because she lets me spend so much time doing this type of stuff; I just think she's going through a funk and wanting more time with me... Hopefully she cools off soonish. Ucross is still doing a crap load of web work from what I've seen so give him some credit. I'm thinking I may have to give up doing everything but the actual mod work and allow someone else to take over the daily tasks (already have possible people that know the ropes and what I have to do on a daily basis). Proposed setup is something like this: Ucross - doing all the administration, and giving the programmers assignments (including me), balance and design Forefall - balance and design Unkn0wn & Kolath - maps (.module) stuff Lai - handling player complaints / community Akranadas - community fldash/Phil/GiffE/roflmao - programming We'll see... |

You did an amazing job so far fl, its really more than ok if you would take a lil time off for your wife  and yes indeed its remarkable that she even did let you spend so much time with this/us - If Akranadas n Lai want some assistence there, i could give em a hand in trying to keep the community "nice". (allthough, i might be a bit too fast with actions here and there, seeing how akra is holding himself back constantly, probably on your saying ) |

But I made sure this time around the girl knew that as much as I love her and as much as I will devote my life to her, the computer and my hobbies on it are part of the package... try being what you are not, only leads you to want out faster. but dash, I doubt there is anyone here who will fault you for your choices, even if 2.0 actually never comes out, you have built a hugely successful community and we all owe you a thank you for that! |
