When I tried to install the update it just said windows encountered a problem. I realized I used the skin installer to put some skins in so I unistalled OF and reinstalled it. Then when I try to update it but it continued to have troubles. Does anybody have any info?

It's not vistas fault.

Are you installing the Patches in the correct order? 2.01 - 2.301 ?

Yes I have been installing it in the right order. I have even tried downloading the patches from online and it still is encountering problems.

i hope you have like 8-10 gigs of free space in your HDD partition couse that can cause problems with patching - COH unpacks everything to patch up and that really needs a lot of free space.

The file really doesn't give me a error.  When I run it vista asks me to not allow or allow. I click allow and then a screen that says program has encountered problems must shut down program.

I have tried that and it still didn't work. I tried to patch COH not OF and I think it actually worked. So I am thinking I will just give up on OF for now and use just regular Coh.

Coh patched all the way to version 1.71, but it won''t go any further because of windows problem. I think it just has a problem with OF.
