Heh. NY Is going strong with some support by Thtb, Nevyen, and Jedi.

Also, Scratch the tag making. Tags are only availible for fleets. Radioman needs to be a few levels higher for that.

Once again, anyone interested in joining -=PiR=- contact me on the NY server.

Changed the poll to allow changing of votes for people who are moving =)

I've already spent too much time playing on Az to move now, especially that I have my doubts on how many of you will actually keep playing a month from now =)

We should make a Arizona branch and a NY branch of EIR.

German: Best AA, Best DBs, Best Fighters. Guns are meh in terms of power, but have very good range.

Japanese: AMAZING Torps (the best by far), decent fighters, decent bombers. Their AAA is lackluster.

British: They can survive a pounding. Their armor is the best, and their engineers are very good. Their fighters are...durable, to say the least (I think). Their aircraft torps are very, very good.

US: Their raw AAW is the best in the game, but their ack-ack sailors lose reload as they vet up. Most US players use reload gunners instead of AA gunners to shoot down planes, their AA reload is that bad. AAW is eventually negated by better plane stats, so AAW is largely worthless at higher levels of play.

Their guns are outranged by most other nations. But their T5 Battleship, if it gets in range...it hurts. A lot.

US Plane Torpedoes are one of the best torps in the game (right up there with the British), and their fighters are probably second-best in the game (not due to plane stats: the pilots get extra bonuses). US CVs, in terms of the actual ship, are probably one of the best.

Two nation-based tactics...

-Get Jap CL (Kitakami or others). Load up with torps. Torp one side of the map, laugh as you rack up the kills. Your fleetmates probably won't like it...but, hey, you're helping them win.

-The US Atlanta/Juneau/Oakland are the best ships for High-Angling (where you fire at above 55 degrees). High-Angling with APC ammo deals a ton of damage to even Battleships. Use 5"54 guns for the best effect.

Germans are a pain to lvl up, since in the beginning your higher range is worthless since really evryone has longer range and after 5 sec the enemy is close enave to touch you anyway ;(.

Once you start getting to the CAs, the range helps out a lot.

Tip for everyone; learn manual aim as soon as possible, like once your out of a frigate.

Don't use the Auto FCS. You don't learn anything from it, and you'll be using a Finder or Aiming FCS for the rest of your NF life, anyways.

German ships can touch anything else as a CA and kite the other CAs. Just don't make a mistake...easier said than done.

Once you learn the angles of your guns, it'll be a walk in the park for hitting things.  If you can lead properly, anyway.

If you die, you just sit out until the next round.  You have to pay for repairs, which becomes more expensive as you level higher and get better ships.

Not sure on this, but I think your have to restock ammunition after each battle.

I'm still divided between NY and Ari. I'm slightly further on Ari, but my main choice will come from where everyone plays.

Other news, getting off. Have an AFK room up on NY in the clan section.

Here's a couple important key shortcuts:
Shift + F1, Shift-F2 - display those team tables so you can see how bad you're losing Smiley
F10 - Options. One important option is automatic repair and resupply.

There are MANY ways to enjoy the game. For the last week or so I've had an extremely well armored british DD and went around annoying the hell out of other DDs who could not penetrate it Smiley For a few days before that I used 6" guns on the smallest DD around. I could match the range of many CLs which couldn't hit me at all =) You can even own CAs if they're gunners aren't very good =)
