I dont understand

I was playing my second match of EiR, 3v3, and we were pushing them back and some lag started. People started to talk about the lag then they all got dropped and i was still playing but no units were moving. I finished of the the rest of there men and it i won. but in my stats it says they won. The troops i lost after they were dropped are gone but i didnt get the vet for my troops after they were dropped. If i knew i was going to lose i would have just left the game and kept my units safe. Whats up with this if anyone knows?
