Yesterday in vent we somehow got on this funny tangent about D-day.

First talking about beach maps, then someone says well we still won D-day, and I responded, well it's only because allies were using their OP T4 artillery, which someone responded "Yeah, the airborne back capped so germans lost due to NCP" this went on for a few minutes and was quite hilarious, so please, pick a real event from WWII and say why it was won using CoH/EiR references.

The only reason we lost operation martketgarten was instead of fighting volks we were fighting vetted PE with all the upgrades!

My available companies:
Allies:
*AB company going for raid assault
  Infantry going for tank reapers
Axis:
*Defensive going for rocket artillery
  Blitz going for lightning war
  And an experimental Terror company going for subversion consisting of all volks and two King Tigers

Operation market garden was lost due to the Airborne not having Raid Assault, the other Airborne not having Air Superiority, and the fact that they had an Infantry player that went Cohesion.......Plus the Germans had a new Steel, Scopes for their rifles and a propoganda techinque only known at the time as "Tenacious Faith".

PS: Not to mention the Military Intelligence codename: (MI).

Also a little known fact, is that before working on the manhattan project and working with the atom bomb, that Einstein tested small warheads inside of the americans grenades granting them the name nuclear pineapples.

Stug drivers where not german at all...They were men recruited from Tokyo, New York, LA, London, and Berlin and all of them were street racers that had perfected the art of drifting and thus were able to squish men that thought they were safe.

The Allies forgot to load their M10 cannons and often fired blank rounds.

Germans invented fiberoptic, laser scanning, thermal sensing, radio barbed wire and tank traps and sandbags that can detect even stealth fighters. Luckily this technology was never discovered by the Russians after the war.

Probably Airborne dropped on a single Ostwind, then threw grenades at themselves and after that got stuck in hedges preventing them to retreat or reorder.
They didn't know where to drop safe as the reconrun got stuck in a church tower and flew offmap too early.

Germans lost the Blitz because their strafing ruins kept mis-targeting cities instead of airfields.

The Germans had V1 units 200 foot from the battle to give close hand sport in matter of minutes.

The Germans in Greek
Are sadly to seek;
Not five in five score,
But ninety-five more;
All, save only Hermann,
And Hermann's a German.

the germans lost in russia due to their halftracks smelling like volksgreniders so they decided to walk there...but it took them so much longer to walk than ride halftracks that they froze to death.

The Germans lost the Ardennes offensive because all the German commanders cared about was protecting their veteran tanks; thus they retreated them early, leaving the less experienced commanders to pay the price when Strafing and Bombing run cooldowns had finished.

No one ever cares about what happened in Russia and Italy because their armies didn't exist.

Market Garden failed because the british didn't build enough lieutenants; their troops could only move at patrol speed.

The Russians got to berlin first because the american tankers forgot what direction to drive in.
