My map maker doesnt let me save anything anymore. I try to save it and this comes up and it says"
ERROR C:program files\THQ\Company of heroes\WW2\DATA\scenario\mp - File is Read only "

Anyone know why this is? do i need to reinstall the game? Is there a way i can just reinstall map maker? please help

I would try reinstall.  If you own OF, it isn't actually too onerous, as you should have all the patches saved in your my documents\my games\ folder

I reinstalled but I'm getting the same problem, does anyone have any idea or no anything else i can try?

Well i think the problem is it cant save the .sgb file. because when i go to open and put it on all files in see .scar .tga .tga
not sure if this helps but ill try anything.

Can you open a brand new blank map and save it as a new filename?  Or is it that you can't save existing maps?

Try zipping up all the files for the problem map and uploading to filefront so one of us can try to load it.

Thanks for the offer man but my first map files got corrupted, thens when i started to move stuff around and this problem happened. I been trying to save the blank maps but i keep getting the same error. I posted this on relic forms and if i find a fix ill post it here just in case anyone else have the same problem ever.

I have a big problem here is what led up to it.
I was making a map, it was coming along great until i dragged the files out of the folder because it wasn't letting my use my launcher. little did i know that it corrupted the files and i lost it all. i tried to put them in several different folders but it did nothing. i deleted them and a few days later(today) i started to make a new map but when i went to save i got this error. ERROR saving file:
'C:\program files\THQ\companyofheroes\ww2\data\scenarios\Mymapname.sbg.'

And once it said read file only, it doesn't anymore but it still but be a problem. Also when i go to open maps after the save failed and click all files it still has the .tga and .scar in there. Anyone know what my problem is? I tried to reinstall the game but i got the same problem.
