On a scale from 1-10 give your personal opinion on how much you hate, or maybe like "lame" tactics. The higher the number the more you dislike it. I just wanted to see peoples opinions of what tactics are a-ok with them, and which most people agree are pretty lame. This can also kind of give you an idea maybe of players you might want to avoid certain tactics with (aka, keep your infantry as far away from people who love to run stuff over)

1. Blocking tanks with other tanks.

2. Blocking tanks with jeeps.

3. Hiding infantry in the corner of a territory on the opponents spawn side to prevent capture.

4. Running infantry over.

5. Rushing spawn at the very start of the battle.

6. Suiciding units to kill off vet that is retreating.

I'll add more if people think there are other lame tactics.

for me,

1. 3, blocking tanks with tanks can be somewhat lame, but I think for the most part it's a pretty valid tactic, because it usually gets one of the tanks killed.
2. 7, blocking tanks with jeeps is just totally lame, imo, jeeps should take damage from the tanks treads.
3. 9, hiding infantry in the corner imo, is exploiting the map.
4. 9, running infantry over is lame imo, and I don't think should of ever been a "feature" of CoH in the first place, but I've learned to do it okay, because it seems it's the only way to survive in EiR.
5. 10, Spawn rushing is pretty lame, there is a spawn buff at the beginning for a reason, people aren't supposed to be there, I don't mind people who push up when the timer is up, but rushing into the spawn area is retarded.
6. 5, I think suiciding a unit to kill vet that is getting off the field anyways for the most part is lame, but often times it SHOULD be done simply out of revenge. If a vet 2 tiger kills off some of my vet 2 stuff, I'm going to hate that tiger, and Ill go to the ends of the earth to get it!

1: 1
2: 1
3: 3
4: 1-9, depending on how it happens.
5: 1
6: 1

1/2:
3: Somewhat annoying. I wish EIR could use a dynamic area system, but that would be complicated.
4: I think that an out-of-control Sherman running over a couple units is ok. I hate it when infantry run into a stationary Stug, and somehow die.
5: One of the better ways to kill RBs before they do anything.
6: If vet units survive, they'll come back to haunt you in some other game.

1. 2, its a tank, you can consider it as getting a rear shot, rather then blocking (with maximum penetration)

2. 4, u shouldn't have a tank unsupported, but it does become lame if someone rush's a jeep and blocks as ur trying to put the tank offmap.

3. 1, just an annoyance.

4. 1, why not Smiley the person needs to dedicate all his attention to the micro, rendering him useless anywhere else on the map or even to his infantry nearby from time to time. The only time it can become annoying is when an m10 does it, and even then, they are glass cannons that can get ripped easily.

5. 10, yup lame tactic. I believe defenders should defend, and attackers should attack. Never the other way around. This is only annoying in the first 10-20 minutes. Anything beyond then is logical.

6. 8, Thats my number if they KNOW their infantry is not going to make it out. its a 4 if they know its safe. If they know their infantry is going to die by chasing vet, then its just a bitch move. If they are safe and trying to kill your retreating unit, they are more interested in getting vet themselves then taking yours away.

If you are threatened in an open field with infantry by a tank trying to run them over, hit hault. Your units will just move out of the way.

1. Completely blocking retreating infantry
10. Holding a sector with a one man squad in the corner

Not really bad, just annoying. That's it. Everything else is awsome

1. Axis balance.

Yes and no. I played a game where the other team had used every under handed tactic, but your AB gave me the idea for that.

All sound fine to me except suiciding units to kill retreating INFANTRY. Thats lame, but by all means suicide to kill backing off vehicles because they WILL come back.

I have to agree with Akra and;
You can pull each single one of that off, if your not being a dick about it and doing it constantly. People that are like "lolololololo!1111!1111one i blockz0rd yur vetre-1 stug hahaha owned NOOB!" get blacklisted instantly...

Its all fine.

Tanks don;t get a free pass to retreat, and infantry do.  So if i am a tank player, which i am.  If a vet 2 ranger or AB squad gets off the field...  Next time they might kill off my tank with that 20% extra dmg at vet 3.

Its vet, its not ment to stay alive forever.  I face the same 3-8 peopel most of the games.  Besides te od game with unknowns or newer players.  They don;t want my vet 1 tiger to live, In fact i have seen ranger, AB, M-10s, Shermans, and Greyhounds along with Howie shots all suciding themselves to kill my 1 tiger.

As long as that happens, all vet runnign or holding ground is going to die.
