There is a new Gameplay beta opening for CoH (much like the TA one) and will be focusing on balance as well as fixing server side issues.

So far this is the balance change log.

Quote
Online
- Host Proxy added.

Fixes
- Panzer Elite Marder III now has its Site Main Gun shortcut key re-enabled.
- British Lieutenant has his shortcut key fixed for Heroic Charge
- Clicking repeatedly on the Supply Yard will no longer select American M10s.

Gameplay
- Wehrmacht Stuka halftrack rocket ability increased from 60 seconds to 90 seconds.
- Wehrmacht Stuka Halftrack rocket ability decreases by 10s for every level of veterancy
.
- Panzer Elite Hummel artillery barrage ability increased from 60 seconds to 90 seconds.
- Panzer Elite Hummel artillery barrage ability decreases by 10s for every level of veterancy.
- US P-47 Thunderbolt strafing run uses one less machine gun.
- US Calliope barrage increased by 10 seconds to 90 seconds
- US Calliope barrage ability recharge decreases by 10s for every level of veterancy.

- Fixed a bug where Panzer Elite Henschel attacks were auto-firing both weapons instead of auto-firing one and auto-targeting the other.
- Fixed a bug to remove some unintended resource modifiers on British command trucks.
- Changed some modifiers on the Royal Artillery Command Tree from multipliers to addition. The more command tree items that are researched, the faster the barrage abilities recharge on 25pounders.
- The Stug IV has its front armour improved by approx 20% vs 76mm Shermans, 75mm Shermans, 37mm Greyhounds, 75mm Cromwells, 6pounder Churchills.
- Panzerfaust does increased damage vs Bren Carriers. Will destroy standard Bren carriers with two shots.
- Panzer Elite Wirblewind does increased suppression.
- Panzer Elite Wirblewind does more increased penetration vs US Halftracks and M8 Greyhounds.
- Panzer Elite Wirblewind does more deflection damage against armoured targets.

I highlighted the ones that could affect EiR the most.

Odd change to the strafing run, I thought it was tuned fine the way it is now.

That is just what I said to nick over Vent. I think that it is to make the strafe less of a gamble, and something more consistant.

Perhaps we will see a Pershing buff. I'd like to see the tank itself get a bit better armor and reduced recieve penetration from certain weapons.

I hope there is an over-buff of allies and it gets added to retail and breaks the EiR balance! HA-HA! Then you must patch us!

I'd say the persh should get a reduced penetration versus non-heavy tanks, and then it would be fine. Because no one likes it when a StuG caps a Persh.

Well if this patch takes as long as the last we've got a few months before we see any release.

Stugs need a price increase now more than ever but apart from that sounds like too many people still playing the scheldt.

Wow, really? I mean, it used 6 in the first place. I can understand the other two being jammed, but 3 guns jammed? Pssh. Fail.

Umm... I think the entire community can say that 2.300 and 2.301 were one of the best patches for CoH since release. This is because they took there time and beta'd everything before releasing.

Considering it only affects it's armor rating against other tanks, ATGs and man-packed AT will be unaffected.  M10s, oddly enough, are not affected by the either.

I don't get why they change stug against all this armor, I don't think it needs it against the sherman, but I would of liked to see better frontal armor to zookas, m-10s, and ATG.

in vcoh, it is a tank hunter, it needs to be able to take on tanks, it really is poor considering the tech costs to get it in vcoh.

Hey its cool.
First off; Thx for the post Akra!
2end-ly; I am looking forward to the chance since basicly they say; Fuck you arty.
Witch is great for EiR imo, less vet lose to 1 hit kills or arty spam.

***** Stug: it won't make a difference though. That just means it will live a little longer. It still won't destroy the enemy tank or even harm it. Until they reduce the aim time, the stug is still going to be useless vs every allied tank.
