can you also do a comparison of the damages each weapon does when it hits.

you are only looking at part of the picture.

I'll do that after you look at the penetration values i've presented and you tell me whether or not it fits within the balance of EIR currently

I think you are getting way too bogged down in numbers. RRs penetrate heavy armour almost always, do i think thats ok? Yes.

Really?

Do most people feel that way?  Am I in the minority for thinking that a small handheld AT weapon on a very survivable unit should have at least the same difficulties with the frontal armor of a heavy tank than an 57mm AT Gun does?

I dunno, this seems pretty straightforward to me - Seems like a Pershing's 90mm AT cannon should be at least a little bit better than a recoilless rifle....

In the context of the game, what mobile AT do the allies have that can take on a panther/Tiger/KT? Basically its RRs or m10 spam. M10 Spam. If anything I would like to see RRs less effective against lighter vehicles not the heavy tanks.

Why do the allies have to have a highly mobile counter to armor that costs a minimum of 700 Manpower and Fuel?  Heavy armor does not need a hard counter, there are plenty of soft counters that need to be used in conjunction.

Where is the skill in running 4 squads of RRs up to the front armor of a slow expensive tank, firing once, and having it be dead.

When I fight tigers as an infantry player I use sticky bombs, AT guns, mines, shermans, rangers.   Fighting tigers for me is fun as hell, and its rewarding to know that when I knock out a tiger that i've knocked out a large chunk of my opponents armor

When AB players do it, its just sad - Talk to the top AB players, ask them how interesting it is just blobbing around RRs knocking out everything they come across.   Theres no skill or strategy neccesary, they just do it because, well, they can.

Thats a rarity, and frankly why was that tiger running around unsupported with a blob of 4 vet 3 RRs in the area. If I know theres a Panther sitting around to I run an M8 over there?

You asked if people see a problem with RR penetration values. No I do not. I think they are an important part of the allied ability to defend against heavy tanks. Remove repairing from EIR and you have a point though.

I may disagree with you Sach.  I do not think Panzershreks or any hand-held AT should be able to pen front armor of a heavy tank easily at all.  You should need combined AT.  Maybe a M10 or an Airdropped AT gun.

Just my 2 cents.  Even when I played airborne I only used 4 RRs in my army.  I just dont agree with how when they are blobbed they can almost insta pwn Heavy Armor.  In single sqauds there isnt much of a problem, only in blobs.

They were using it as bait to draw the RRs into a blob of vet2 MP44 stormies that were a ways in front of the tiger.

Tiger came  out, RRs ran up, tiger backed up, RRs fired up and chased to max range which happpened to be in the middle of the MP44 storms, fired 1 volley took out the tiger, then with the remaining 7 seconds of fire-up they ran back to the cover of the MGs and crocs, lost maybe 2 guys.

I guess the thing that really bothers me is that I feel infantry AT should be used as a flanking force in general - You should have to get to the side or the rear armor to have these 100% chances of penetrating.  This has always felt out of whack for me, Allies have plenty of ways to handle Heavy Tanks, why does this one solution need to be so much better that I see 2-3x as many AB players just spamming RRs as I do any other doctrine - I know maybe 3 serious Armor players and I think 2 infantry players besides myself compared to 9 or 10 AB players

Thats why it's balanced in vCoH - You very rarely see blobs of RR ab because theres a major cooldown time between each single, unupgraded squad you call in.  in EIR you can literally deploy 4 vet3 squads all with RRs at the start of the game if you wanted to (and you had raid)
