Goverments shouldn't waste money on service soldiers don't expect in the first place.
Yes, they could improve the conditions a little, fine by me, but this video is making it seem like this big deal when it's totally not  Roll Eyes.

Any of you that see nothing wrong with it, go stay in a shitty hostel for 3 months
When I travel to far countries and stay there for a few months, I don't expect much comfort, I just want a cheap way of experiencing the country. (Shitty Hostels + Cheap flight with little comfort for all I care)

There's billions who live in those conditions, many probably don't even have the luxury of showers and housing.
I'm sure the soldiers don't give a flying fuck about the state of their showers & toilets when they're in the middle of a freaking warzone.

worst living conditions that the government can give them?
Worst living conditions? Give me a break. The worst living conditions would simply be having no roof above your head, no food and little to no hygene. You know what? I think a lot of people (americans & europeans) have a huge luxury problem up their ass. I can't stand the people who start crying when they have to live in 'less comfortable' conditions than the extremely luxury conditions of their own homes.

I blame it on the fact people in America (and Europe) forget war isn't a trip to a day spa with BOOLETS and that, if you have to stay somewhere in a military fashion, unless you're busily looting the nearby homes and palaces of deposed officials, you aren't going to be living in the best or even nominal of conditions.

It is good that war is so horrible, or we might grow to like it.

You should see the fucking British army... I spent most of my time on RAF bases, and compared to the Army ones they are paradise, The US army should be happy they get most of the good combat equipment, there is more of them and they get more equipment than our smaller army does.

Also those barracks in the video don't look a lot different from my school, which just celebrated its 50th birthday. At least their toilets flush...

These are the conditions soldiers are living in when they ARE NOT AT WAR! THESE ARE CONDITIONS AT FORT BRAGG, NC!!!! IN THE USA!

Yes I believe that when they are at war, that they shouldn't expect anything better then a tent and a hole they dug to shit in, but when they are at "home" they should have better conditions then that.

Ok, first off...its Fort Bragg...thats a TRAINING base, and if you know anything about military, in general when you are in training/boot camp/specialized training, etc...  you are treated like shit, they do it on purpose; they break you down.

That said, the Air Force has the best of everything, housing, food, equipment, etc...

of course they do, they don't need to get used to shit conditions, they get out of a comfy chair in the rec room before an op... move to another comfy chair in the briefing room, then walk to a semi comfy chair in the pilot seat Tongue.

Thanks for proving that YOU don't know shit about the military. My dad's in the army he trained there for his jump wing when he was in the 82nd AB division. BOOT CAMP is where you are broken down, they don't keep breaking you down for new training, the only specialized training at Fort Bragg is Airborne, and I do believe they do some Ranger training there as well. And the soldiers under question weren't under training, they just came back from their deployment. Are you people watching this video with your head up your ass? How many more obvious details am I going to have to point out that people have completely missed, or misunderstood.

I've never heard anything about repeatedly breaking down soldiers by putting them in shitty living conditions when they are on post, and unless he has been in fort bragg and undergone the same training my father went then I doubt he knows anymore then I do.

Draygon is right about the training and breaking down malarkey, but those guys are not training... i did lol at the fact you think Draygon knows nothing about the military... there was a reason he wasn't here for a while.

it is not nice, but really, in my school there are no working toilets, and no one even goes near them due to all the shit(as in excrement) all over the walls.

Well I can't be blamed for not knowing draygon was in the army, and don't apologize for assuming he knows nothing about the army, when he assumed the same for myself.

The only soldiers that stay in barracks are single soldiers. When you are married you are offered housing or money to pay for a house, apartment, or whatever. So let me ask you this, would you guys think it was ok for the military housing the families lived in to be in these same conditions? I'm guessing not. So why should single soldiers be forced to live in the same conditions? All that barracks needs is new toilets, fresh coat of paint, and new plumbing, with the free labor right there, there is no reason why those barracks shouldn't be in better condition.

There are major health violations in the building. You don't live in a place that is shared with such a large amount of mold. The paint and fucked up ceiling I could live with, but the mold, and the sewer pipe things need to be fixed.
