One of the peculiar things about EiR is that there is no such thing is a ranked 1v1. I know that this is to prevent 2 guys from vet whoring off eachother (4 is a lot harder to organize), This was a freaking awesome game that I had a ton of fun in...

- My starting call in gets crippled by arty and rangers than rush em while im not paying attention, ally and 1 of them drop and the game turns into a desparate 1v1
- 1 Sniper in the open facing off 2 sqauds of rangers, atleast 1 with SMGs...ferocity does come in handy sometimes
- vet 3 mortar comes on the field to knock down a building and gets killed somehow instantly while i'm not looking

As You may see by the filename, I can't think right now...that was sweet.

Almost forgot, battle #6115

Hmmm, this is fairly old, but yes, it was an interesting game. Haro asked me to post the replay, so that's why its up here. Just a fun game in which I get an awful start, and then lose my ally a few minutes in, and come back to make a desperate win.

I LOVED 1 v 1s .. I rarely lost one, and would play them constantly.  It was the only game type where you don't lose because you chose to play with someone who didn't know what they were doing.

I wish they had just removed the VET gaining in 1 v 1s yet kept the win/loss's.. sigh, I would probably play constantly.

It would be interesting to see where players really stacked up against each other with no 'my ally sucked' excuses.

Yeah, it was definitely an interesting thing to play EiR with nobody else to fall back on, especially with the pressure of your allie's win/loss riding on your play aswell. Unfortunately crossroads doesn't make a very good 1v1 map. Even still, it turned out well, it was an absolute rush at the time.

Doctorine choices will be relied heavily on Tongue imagine Tank Command on a 1v1. You can call in like 3 extra HMGS over the opponent Tongue

Yeah, good point novox, that would be awful...but since we're talking 1v1 T4's, imagine subversion with a guarentee of hitting 1 guy 4 times...that'd be nasty.

in a 1 v 1 it matters more that you can counter everything at all times then anywhere else.

I find people don't balance enough, 1 v 1s teach you that rule fast, and dirty like.

I'd love 1v1's personally, but the pop cap would need a be raised a bit for them to be playable. It would be too easy to spam one variety of unit against some one, because unless the specifically prepared for a certain type of spam there would be no way to counter it correctly with the low pop cap.
