Its OK most of the UK don't won't it either - the government just claimed that it was different to the constitution so they didn't have to hold the promised referendum (which they know that they will lose).
So now its more than 60 million

Don't talk shit like that, following that theory you would never get anything done EVER.
It's how democracy works.

If 26 out of 27 countries agree, that's enough democracy.

It's sickening that some ignorant random joe gets to decide the faith of 470 million others. I dare say that more than half of the people who voted no absolutely had NO idea what they were voting on or against. Ireland's being an ungrateful fuck after everything the EU has done for them. But I guess the population in Ireland has just forgotten how the EU funded them all the way to being a properly developed nation.

Ps I would just like to say a big thank you to the people of S. Ireland for voting  NO to further integration into an EU superstate ( I mean I give my taxes to people who can't even get their books to balance ........ and my government doesn't even give me the chance of a vote it truly pisses me of!!!!!!!!)

You wouldn't understand anyway. That's why you're not allowed to vote untill you hit a proper age.

There we go - APEX has got a fair representation of the entire Irish population, one woman on the news.

Anyway, both France and Holland said no last time.

Oh there were more irish people one the news. One guy said that he voted no because he believed that the EU were forcing ireland to introduce gay marriage. Another women said that she voted no because she didnt want hard drugs to be legalized.

Another example why democracy, especially direct democracy, is flawed.

No, each country should create, ratify, and enforce its own laws without the overbearing EU telling them how to live.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_Lisbon

From what I read, it's basically a treaty that would unite Europe with a stronger centralized government and some other stuff I didn't bother to read about. Not quite sure why Ireland would reject either.
