Beta 4: (Feb. 03, 2009)
-I have done many texture betterifications
-Ditches have been added all over
-All generic farm fields have been changed to open, grassy fields
-The barbed wire crawl has been toned down a bit
-Splats added in several places
-All crappy mini-lakes have been removed
-Glider crash re-textured
-Impass added to Flakvierling nests
-Music changed
-Map looks much nicer overall

Some of you might have noticed that this map is now available as an 8p MCP map for OMG. It will remain OMG exclusive. However, the 6p version OCP of Convent will remain EIR exclusive if I decide to continue development of it.
I wanted to let you all know, this version is a bit behind, and I refuse to update this map until I get some map usage stats, or you can effectively demonstrate that it's impossible to do so.

OMG has only started doing it today and they've been at it longer than EIRR. We've given you the best support we could and you still treat us like you're too good of a mapper for this community now.
Here's what you do, either update it or don't.
I'm sure we'll start tracking maps again eventually but right now it's not being tracked and obviously this isn't exactly priority. I read your witty comments over at OMG, if you would have played EIRR at least once you would know that pretty much every single game played has been on one custom map or the other simply because we decided to include TONS of maps in the installer, including convent and dawn FYI.

Just played it. The sectors are imbalanced. The south spawn has a huge advantage in convent access and that's 2 of the sectors. There's only 6 sectors on the map other than the spawns.
It's sort of like Ardennes, if the center hill were much closer to one of the spawns.

I'm not being a bitch, I'm being realistic. How would I know anyone EVER plays my maps? I haven't had feedback in over a month. I don't play EIRR, I play OMG, I can tell, firsthand, that they play it. I can't do that over here. If my map isn't being played, I won't update it.

ack i had replied to this message earlier, but I guess it didn't go through.
I had said it was sad to see the map lose support, I have played it a bunch of times myself, and heard it being played off and on. With all the new released maps it ultimately isn't played as much as it had been a few weeks back, but it is still mentioned regularly.
its a strong stance to take on not supporting your work, hopefully you think otherwise of it sooner or later.

I never said I would DO it, I said I was considering it, chill out. It's just that the lack of community feedback AT ALL has made me wonder somewhat if this map is even played over here anymore.
But if what you guys said is true, then I'll keep support for it open, in the form of the 6p OCP map being developed further with feedback from the 8p over at OMG, since you guys don't give me ANY feedback, it won't be balanced nearly as well.
Unfortunately, I have never been this busy in my entire life before, so I can't work on a new 6p OCP version right now. But I know what the problems are and I will fix them for you during my easter break.

I would love to see this map updated. Turn the paks and flak turrets into blown up ones, and fix the sectors. Then it will be even more amazing.
