Our 294th Airborne (DrNickTLS) and 73rd Airborne (BradTLS) divisions beat back the 92nd Blitzkrieg (DrakkzTLS) and 345th Terror (ChefarztTLS) divisions in a fierce skirmish. A victory? yes; but a costly one. The death toll was very high. Hopefully this is the first in a series of defenses to stop the Axis onslaught.

St Hillaire 2v2

80 Airbourne squads
intense squishy squishy
Snipers rather useless

and Nick gets his revenge.

Problem was that Mgs  are pretty useless on this map coz they love to target buidlings first, also dropping shitloads or Airborne may be the onyl way to play with them but its not what i would call very challenging. But whatever is was a funny game.
Btw ill get rid of that shitty heavy support anyway, never really use it (except for 1 pak  Grin)
Heavy support against 2xAirborne is just silly anyway.

How can mgs pwn if u just fire up and throw a nade on it? Same for all other supportweapons/weapon teams.

Mgs fail on St. Hillaire? Fucking the entire right side can be locked down with 1 and it can be a d00m fortress with 2

Like i said fire up+ nade=dead mg. If for any strange reason u dont have something that can fire up, occupy an building close to it,  mg starts firing on that buidling and wont change target to the rifle squads  right at the doorsteps.

mgs still earn more than there worth anyways. Airborne or Rangers my ass. They'll both get out pretty easy by a couple grens or volks.

You can lock down one side of the map with 2 mgs, and if your not retarded and you know they have airborne with grenades you can build bunkers. I mean its not like bunkers resist grenade damage or something, OH WAIT THEY DO. Honestly you can't ask for a better map to use mg's on lol. 2 mg's with intensity and advanced munitions will suppress a fired up paratrooper squad in 1.25 seconds, and if you worry about grenades so much theres this mystical ability that grenadiers have called barbed wire. St Hillaire is also one of the easiest maps to wire off. Saying St hillaire is not a map for mgs means that you have 0 idea how to use mgs or heavy support because honestly it does not get better than st hillaire for heavy support.

Honestly t ur right with is the barb wire and bunkers but as airborne are in the town before u anyways and the standard croc will toast u engies right away its quite pointless.

I thought it was a pretty fun game , tell yo the truth you guys pwned, but maybe i should rephrase that, brad pwned, lol. I wasnt so worried when nick joined the game as when brad joined the game, but itw as still a fun game.Only reason i eve rdo the wuiping the floor with <name> blood is to piss of the little bitches who cant take a loss^^ , but i rarely mean it.

And yeah St.Hilaire is a major MG map. And howcome the MGs don't work on that map because of fire-up? Last time I checked you can use fire-up on every map....

Fire up is more useless on that map than any others due to the tight entrance into the town.

I guess you must not have played heavy support much. Because its honestly the most obvious thing to do on that map as axis, and especially as heavy support.  As allies less so because you aren't as likely to have infantry that can deploy barbed wire, but with grenadiers you have no excuse to not wire spam the fuck out of the town.

Yes the airborne will get in the town before you, but thats why you have grenades. If they hop in a building to prevent you from setting up a mg, then you can just as easily use grenades to kick them out of it, or even a mortar.

Honestly though if you have ever played vcoh it should be a no brainer how to play st hillaire, because it plays virtually the same in eir.

I could. 2 paks 2 hmgs 1 grenadier with nades 1 mortar and 1 pio.  paks, mortar and grens can clear out buildings. Paks kills tanks. grens and hmgs kill infantry. pios build bunkers. Not so hard to do really. So far that opening has only failed once out of 21 games, but in the end I still have not lost a game yet in tls so that matters little.  Crocs are laughably easy to kill with 2 paks if you set them up properly.

Hm  thinkin about it, but seems very vulnerable to pars dropping on u firing up, I mean IF! u get the bunker set up i seems quite good.
