They called a cease fire and are taking up positions before the war today, didn't they? Though I believe they're still shelling...and considering if we do go to war with Russia there may be a draft and i'm the perfect age so i'd rather we not go to war ;p

This is something that russia has been planning for a while.

I think the most the US can do is offer moral support to Georgia. Even if it was a good idea to get more involved (which it is not) 1) We are stretched far to thin militarily already. 2) We have massive debts currently owed to Russia, do we really want them to call it in?

The US is impotent towards anyone whom we owe money, and considering how much of our economy is owned by foreign investors that is the majority of the industrialized nations.
