So some of us were talking today and just wondering where has everyone gone.  Last week in the afternoons (my time) there was enough people on to get a few great 2v2's and even 3v3's on.  In the last 3-4 days there has been maybe 2 people on at that same time.  Its lonely on TeamSpeak Sad

I know for myself personally the constant balance testing just isn't cutting it for me. Reminds me of vcoh multi player. I cam to this mod for the whole persistancy thing and I'm waiting till we get some form of that going.

Its coming, not too far away.  I understand the balancing can be a bit of a problem for some, but if its not done then what?  Then we have a persistent mod with very unbalanced sides.  They are working very hard to get the persistency out...

I just want some good games and vCoH is ok, but I love using my company other than building up one ingame.

Exams coming up. This one is like a milestone, to see if I'm fit for the clinical years... Wish I was 14 again Tongue

Yes, I think alot of the players are really waiting for the persistancy and that will surely keep them playing when it eventually goes in.

I guess we need to get the basic persistancy going ASAP.

Although I have been busy, honestly I'm waiting for 1.7.

I'm not tired of balance testing, but I wish the cost/resource changes would come out faster, right now I have to wait to see how all this new stuff plays as I think everyone has a feel for how 1.6 goes right now and some of us are just waiting for 1.7

Is there anyway we can get changes like cost and resource in quicker aside from the feature patches? I realize 1.7 may have some other things in there aside from the balance changes, but we've played over 100 battles now (I haven't played in a bit, so might be much much more then that) and from what I understand the cost / resource changes are easy to implement.

Anyways I'm not complaining about the rate of progress, because honestly I think it's gone at an impressive rate, but for the most part we have been testing unit balance and cost, if we can get more mini patches with cost / resource changes in I think it would help keep things fresh till persistency is in.

v1.7 is going to be a huge release... it's going to contain multiple victory conditions, the new 4 branch doctrines, and hopefully a taste of company persistency with win/loss records sent from the game to the website...

I figured something was brewing, been over 2 weeks since a major release! hehe

How close are we to seeing 1.7?

1.7 aside, I would like to see the cost/resources change quicker, we know what the new values are, there is no reason we can't be testing them right now while we wait for the new features.

Well, ability cost changes and pop-cap changes require a release of the client, cost changes do not, but require a company wipe...

Right which is why I thought costs / resource changes could be implemented on a more frequent basis.

Yes companies will have to be remade, but, at least for me that happens several times a week anyways.

I think it would make testing go a little faster as we can be working on cost / resources more often and it will keep the game different while we wait for new features.

That's a good thought Jaz - we'll definitely try to do that more after 1.7.

1.7 will be featuring all the balance changes plus some new gameplay changes and some other big changes.  I'm quite excited to play it. Smiley

Well I know I'm definetly anxious for some sort of change, it seems silly but I got used to the frequent patching and now that 1.6 has been out for what? 2+ weeks? I'm getting pretty ancy :-P

BTW this is in no way saying anything negative, again I think you guys are going at a blistering pace.

I've personally been swamped by my schoolwork. I've had a major assignment(15%+ final grade) due every single day this week!  And two tomorrow!  Angry

Anyway, I might be on a couple times this weekend, and then I have finals next week.  But next week thursday night I should start being on a bit again.

2 1/2 weeks from now, when I start my summer properly, I'll just be working, eating, sleeping, and tinkering with computers/playing games.  So I'll be quite active then.

I'm going through withdrawl from not playing anything these past few days. Cry

I forget that it is nearing the end of the school year for (what seems like) quite a few of you.  Thats cool, means summer is coming and there should be more people on in the afternoons Smiley

We had 1 great game and 1 horrible game in vCoH today since there was only allies on today.  I think in the last game the 3 of us (myself, luftwaffle and Vandal) actually got it together and had a solid plan of attack.  The other game myself, Dragon, Luftwaffle and Vandal absolutely had our asses handed to us by the axis team.
