hay can some one tell me how i can set up my skin for the rifleman so that it shows up in EiR games. i know i can use a skin installer but i don't like using it because it writes the skin directly into my vanilla data files.

Repack the WW2Art.sga with your skin in it.

Failing that, commit suicide.

Repack the WW2Art.sga with your skin in it.

Failing that, commit suicide.

DONT DO THAT.

Create an .sga called ExternalSkinpack.sga with your skins in it (adhering to the correct file structure). Place that in your EuropeinRuins/Archives folder and the skins will work fine without butchering your Regular files.

The only reason to not put them into the normal WW2Art.sga is that it causes problems patching, which is easily solved by cutting that file and pasting elsewhere when you patch.

You'll need to replace it with the backup file too. Some people are stupid enough not to backup and then have to reinstall Wink.
