I run EIR Launcher, and it opens with EIR downloader, it says two files are outdated or missing, I click "yes". It says Error: cannot update mod files, close CoH and try again.
I closed and tried again lots, any help?

try re-downloading the mod from scratch and then updating. It wouldn't take too long to do it.

Thank you very much for you help. Even though following your advice didn't help, I managed to find the problem with reading the "Vista Users" thread...I guess I didn't notice it. Oh well, next time I will search around more before I start a help thread.

I'm just going to post this here incase another user finds this topic and they can use it for reference.
When using Vista, run the launcher in ADMINISTRATOR MODE, by right-clicking the icon, opening properties and going to the compatibility tab.

Delete your current EiR folder and redownload it. Then run it as an administrator. |

Had a new user come on today and have a problem with the launcher as well, he was running vista not on ADMINISTRATOR.
From what I understand the person has to download the EiR_Setup on ADMIN and then install on ADMIN. Run the launcher.exe so it can update on ADMIN mode then after all is done the user then can switch to their profile to run the EiR launcher?
Seems to be a problem associated with Vista users..

Mine installed fine on vista but I turned off UAC and the firewall when I got vista. Ive never had to run nething as admin and I have a lot of games n mods installed. UAC isnt neccesary and the firewall isnt either if u have a router, I mean all those things are gona protect you only if u dl random crap or look at alota pr0n.
