Nw, heres my second question:
i found a very nice "Zoom Out Mod" in the Relic forum :
http://forums.relicnews.com/showpost.php?p=1809455&postcount=10
It works really fine with the "-dev shortcut" i tried to use it with your mod.
(I made a folder called: "\Company of Heroes\EuropeInRuins\Data" and copied it to this location, but it did (of course) not work.)

Is there a possibility to use it with your mod? (Please dont say "NO", cause i LOVE it to zoom out)

btw.: sry again for my bad english

No worries, your english is fine.  See this thread for info on how to do the camera mod without using the -dev switch: http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=142539.  I think this will work with EIR, if not, they should really add it to the mod.

I looked into this earlier and was concerned players would zoom out too much and lag the game...  I have a pretty beefy system and zooming out too far seemed to cause some lag issues...

I have my settings set so that the view is at 70 (wide) the default is 60.  I have it set so the default in meters from the ground is 75 now and the view distance I set at something unreal like 5000 meters that I can see, obviously with fog you cant see that far.  It is nice to be able to see more of the screen than what you get in default.  If you could somehow turn off the fog somewhat (not all the way) to say match the max distance you have zoomed out too (my max zoom out is at 150 meters) then this would be very nice.

Edit: havent noticed any lag, if someone is going to zoom out that far I would think they are hurting themselves since you cant see as far as you zoom.

I would play around with some of the settings in the camera.lua.  I noticed the same issue (objects disappearing into the fog).  I seem to recall there is a setting that has to do with fog or clipping distance.

Ive been playing with it and there is a setting that sets how far you can see, but I dont think that has to do with the fog.  Reason I say this is I can zoom the camera out and then drop the camera angle and see very far, but can only see building outlines, trees, etc...  I havent yet found one that actually turns off or down the fog, but I will look into it more tomorrow.

Edit: Here you go FL, had to zip it to let me put it up on the site, it wouldnt allow me to just upload the file.

Imho the current camera zoom is perfect and when I used this once I was no longer capable of finding the "original CoH zoom".

I believe the Relic probably experimented with this as well and simply came tro the conclusion that the current zoom was the best.

Also, it might give an unfair advantage if you can zoom out alot compared to players who do not imho. (Although just a tad more wouldn't hurt I guess)

if a version of this is included in the mod.  Really doesnt matter though since you can go through and do it yourself, would be a convienance if it was included.

FL have you had a chance to look at the file and see the difference in the changes?  Im loving it, it is much more helpful than seeing what it was that Relic was using for the camera height.  I feel like I have a much greater "feel" for the battlefield and can react much faster now to threats coming.

I prefer the camera.lua from the KMod. It`s not sooo far zoomed out by default. And you can still see all the Units on the Battlefield.

I can`t upload an attachment cause of this error:

based on the error Id say that either the site has run out of space, or FL has not made it so that people can upload files to it since it was recently moved to a new host.

I sent FL a copy of my modded camera a while back and hopefully he has had a chance to look at it.  By default it is zoomed out farther then the original COH and you can zoom out a good distance.  Hopefully it will get incorporated into the mod, those that havent tried it will find it awesome and it does bring a new tactical side to the game.  Since you have more view of the battlefield, the fog just needs to be taken away a bit more in my version.

This hasnt been talked about for some time and I realize that right now its just "eye candy" but have you looked at the mod I sent you FL and thought about packaging it into EIR?
