as you may know already i am an amateur skin maker and i am currently working on a FICTIONAL SS Storm Trooper. in this process i have mixed the Tank Ace commanders body with a grenadier head and engineer goggles. i have been using sample model peaces to do this so all i had to do was mix the models but as i did this i decided that i wanted to change the color of the trench coat and helmet. after i skinned this in though the removed parts would "reappear". seeing as i did not remove them for my self i have no knowledge as how to remove then again thus i have the tank ace cap sticking out of the helmet.

if anyone of you can help it would be highly apreciated.
i will post pic in soon

Have you tried using the alpha channel to alpha out those parts?

kind of, i can not find a clear guid on creating them but i have been exploring alternet routs of doing this. if you can get me a guid on creating and using alpha channles it would help alot. i am using both GIMP 2.0 and Microsoft didgital image 06 for my skining so i am not quit sure about the exact way of going about this.

i am also presuing other routs as Lethal Dosage (a file front CoH mod expert) has also offerd some ideas on using GIMP to physicaly cut out sections of the image. but so far they are proving very uncopertive.

hears what he said
"Well i use GIMP, and when editing the texture all i do is use the Erase tool, or for larger areas i use the selection tool and "Cut" the selected area out... there's no fooling with alpha channels."

i have informed him of my troubles but have yet to hear back thus i am coming hear.
