"I think people should start to realize that (most of the time) Axis tanks are meant to counter allied tanks and axis infantry to counter allied infantry where as it is vice versa for the allies.

Some classic match ups I can think of is like;

Panzer/Panther/Tigers vs Allied Tank
KCH/Gren+Lmg/Volks+mp40 vs Allied Infantry

Rifles w/ Stickies + ATG vs Axis Tank
Croc/Sherman/M8 vs Axis Infantry"



It's such an "Ah hah!" moment thing. It's something I always kind of knew, but never could put it into words. If we could put out a counter list like this it might help people pull their heads out of the rears a bit quicker. I try to keep this in mind when I play and it helps battles go a bit better in my favor, and when I showed this to my friends they were like "Oh that makes a lot of sense, I never thought of it like that."

Just a quote that's out there that I thought I'd try to share with everyone, though I am sure most of the more experienced players already live by it.


Though it makes me think of axis vs allied support. If axis mortar beats out US mortar. And US MG is used a bit more for light vehicles, same as the pak, since shrecks are your heavy AT as axis. Someone sort those kind of match ups out?

beyond the obvious ones that break this constraint (ie anti infantry tanks on axis, anti tank tanks on allies) its mostly correct, and what people forget when they compare the sides.

Even more true if you add in RRs and to a lesser extent rangers. I mean obviously theres a fair amount of overlap but generally thats how i use my units. Most of the time rifles will lose to volks if used properly.
