As you might know, the Eastern Front mod is going to be released soon. We would like to include some Eastern Front Maps. Maps like Stalingrad or Kursk. If you make a Eastern Front map with the tools at your disposal, we will include it in our first release. http://www.easternfront.org/

Stop whining. Grass looks the same in the east and west. So do farm houses and factories.

Country house looks almost same in every territory, if you make a half destroyed farm house... = same like an ormal Russian cottage.
I can't map sadly but I'm sure pretty many will take up for the challenge..

You can skin the buildings but it would need to be supported by the mod.

Making fun of where the russians live in/lived in is inappropriate, IMO.
I don't think a new skinpack is all that needed, to be honest. Just make rural areas. And, actually, russian buildings do tend to look like european ones, when it comes to towns and cities(other than religious ones), due to the russians having employed a heavy westernisation politic in the past.

The EIR community has a lot of talented mappers and presumably there would be cross-over potential for an eastern-front theme map to be used in EIR

It seems though that most of the EiR mappers dont have what it takes for Eastern Front maps. All they do is whine about tilesets. This is not a hurdle for a lot of mappers from other communities.

Sure even today 2/3 russian live in villages. When they invaded Poland my grandpa (he was living in village too) told me that they were shocked when they saw radio, they didn't even know what is water closet...

Poor old Poland, nobody gave a shit for 60 odd years.
They still talk to closed ears and over 9000 come to the UK every second according to the Daily Mail.

I would love to see the Russians in EiR such a large part of the war and such variety, wonder how it would balance.
