Just wondering with everything thats going to happen with this mod, who will be the ones wanting the be the generals of the armies?

I sure as hell don't want to be bring on being a middle man.

It's a lot of responsibility. I think it would be cool, but I'd be nervous of making some really dodgy decisions and causing the whole war to collapse. Of course, I don't think any one commander could have that much effect, unless he was trying to purposefully sabotage his side's effort, which would be lame.

I'm sure there will be plenty of people who really want to be generals, considering how few generals there will be compared to normal low ranking commanders.

Ideally for the alpha the general's will be very skilled players who are very involved in the project.  However, as the alpha goes on and especially for the beta it will become much more clear who the good generals are.  (don't forget the colonel's are basically mini-generals).

Also what Lvl are you guys, i'm lvl 6 allies, lvl 5 axis(but soon to be lvl 6)

Well, in the distant future I can really see the "risk" part of the game work out to be a real amazing piece of gameplay with tons of different ranks and their abilities, for the alpha we'll probably stick with the basic 3 but even if you're not a general I don't think it'll be less fun. Just less administration and responsability I guess .

You might have a kickass player on the field being your general but if he's inactive on the administrative duty part and doesn't really interact with the other players or works out any real playing tactic for the Allies/Axis he's still a poor general.

For all I know, I don't want to be a general.
Huge responsibility and lots of time needed, that I don't have at this moment.
All I want is good generals, who will plan well, so I can enjoy my fights .

Well I wouldnt mind be one but it depends what sort of stuff the job will need to do. Anyway cant play Coh for at least a couple of week (desktop broken ) but wont mind do some admin as long as it wont take to long. But i think it would be logical for the designers to become generals for alpha since they've got a much better insight of the system
