yeah guys, the modders have done a great job, working flat out to get us this release. i can speak from experience that i do not appreciate tossers hammering on about niggling issues in a non-constructive manner on day 1 of release and hurling abuse. just enjoy their creation, and if you have issues, post them calmly in the balance forum and they may be addressed in the future

---------------

NEW FILE IS UP

---------------

Goodnight - I was waiting for it to finish for ya'll.

Quick note:  If you are having problems with the launcher crashing, ensure it is:
A.  Installed to the company of heroes directory
B.  Vista users running with admin on the files (AutoUpdater, and EIRRLauncher)

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

lol, sorry... we really have plans to upload it to more places, but as you can see, it's been a disaster and need to work out the bugs first...

There isn't a trojan in the files...it's a false positive.  Feel free to submit the file to a filescan company for review.

The libcurl.dll triggers some virus scans (like my F-Secure), since its purpose is to send info in the background to the EiR server. And essentially, that's the sort of thing trojans do. It can be bypassed (if you trust the file, and I do) by telling the virus scanner to ignore the file (or the entire folder).

I know that it's no virus, but goddamn, everytime i start it, it keeps warning me and my computer gives a fuckn nasty sound. I know that we had that problem several months ago. And you guys managed to fix it.
I know that theres a lot of other things around, but it would be nice if you managed to find some time to eliminate that problem!

What anti-virus do you have?  It should be possible to add that file to an 'always ignore' list or something, most AV systems have that nowadays.

You only have one company per account.

***** is it just me, or is having an updated "autoupdater" that you have to download sort of silly? I mean shouldn't it just be able to update itself automatically?

btw, are the british fixed yet? can I play games and have them count again?

G, we didn't intend on having multiple version of the AU, it just happened.

As for your other questions, go over to the Balance forum to see changes to the British, and yes games count again.

If someone could put an updated installer up for download, and update the link on the front page, it might be a good idea. Just had to re-install EIR and the file still contains the 1.02 Auto-Updater.
