Just downloaded the installer, and started it!

At the end (I'm guessing) it fails, something about a missing dsetup.dll (?) file.

It looks like it still finishes the install, the icon is on the desktop. I start it and the Autoupdater reports XX files to download. So that's what is going on right now!

The AutoUpdater totally freezes (download thread same as app thread?).

Anyways, I hope everything is okay, it looks like the AutoUpdater is still dl'ing, just didn't like the missing file error!

OS is Vista 32 bit.

Didn't help much. When trying to run the EIRRLauncher.exe (Run As Admin in Vista), it just fails right away!

The error is something like: "EIRRClient has stopped working"

It looks like it is a .net app, maybe I should just debug it  Wink

EDIT: I did, and the error is: System.IO.FileNotFoundException in EIRRLauncher.exe

I had the same problem. Go to microsoft.com and search for directx. It should come up with directx 9.0c. Download and run this. It will fix the problems.

Make sure that you install it to your COH directory, and run the EIRRLAUNCHER.exe directly (do NOT use the auto updater).

I didn't notice before but this will fix your problem as well, PrivateJson.

If you don't have DX9/DX10 you won't be able to run vCoH anyway...
