More eyecandy. I'm nearing finilisation, will need to spend quite some time detailing the fields though but the rest is almost done .

Christ unknown, you have the patience of a saint. I can never get myself to fully focus on a mapping project. Though if you tell me on xfire about how you're intending to create this "frontline fighting" sector layout, I'd love to try and make one myself.
The amount of splats and splines you place in there live up to your usual standard, and thus i give your map the usual "HOLY CRAP!" as a reaction.

Again, very good work! Maybe a downed plain, stug wreck and some craters to fill in the open fields, would give some move cover in my oppinion.

Unknown, is it intentional that you can capture the church and turn it into an HQ where you can buy airborne and engineers?
Also, a pathing bug, on the wide open end of the map, the house with the small square wall in the front yard, the walls block infantry from exiting the courtyard. I had to blow a hole with bazookas to get my rifle squad out.
But besides that, played it for the first time tonight and I LOVE it! Brilliant sector placement. I think the more maps we get designed for EiR specifically, the better!

Step out of the way. He'll keep going until he hits a wall, that being Akranadas. Let him go unmolested, his journey will take less time.

I'll have it fixed for the next release. Will also look into the church issue but Imho it adds a nice touch to the map for the defending side . Although I didn't do it on purpose though .

The church is the one used in the carentan mission... and its treated as an hq building by the game. So troops can retreat to it and such.
the manor in Route-N13 is the same way, its the hq in the caen mission.

The church does add a really interesting dynamic, though. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my retreating men went to the middle of the map instead of back to spawn. Though I suppose that could be exploited by "retreating" guys from the spawn to the middle of the map.

and it can also be really annoying seeing your units retreat into the enemy.

Unkn0wn needs to fix that church, remove it from the map and replace it with something else... If he still wants to keep it, I can make the change in the mod.

I'd rather keep the church as it's the only proper looking one .

It's the Carentan church, i think the one from SP where you are told to garrison and make into a field HQ.
