just enquiring about this issue, sadly when i install the EIR:R the very end of the installation i get the above error which leads onto stopping me activiateing the launcher.

if this error has already been noted then my apologies, i tried installing the latest directx to see if that was the issue but it seems it did not work.

Can you provide any computer specs?  That might help a bit.

This is a problem MannfredvonRitter had and it is caused by you not having a certain dll file.

Download it here and put it in your windows folder, and your system32 folder(or either which) to fix it.

I have it in my Company of heroes folder, Window vista (64) but it doesn't read it

Can you provide any computer specs?  That might help a bit.

AMD Athlon 1.92GHz prossessor
1.5GB ram
Geforce 6600 gfx card
OS windows xp SP3
fully updated direct x 9.0c

Hmm, if that .dll fix doesn't work there is a new full install coming that may fix your problems.  Lemme know how it goes.

Yea the .dll has cured the dx issue if not and i know this is basic stuff but perhaps it should be included in trouble shooting if it has not already as im sure were not the only ones to have this issue.
