Which Faction you play the most in WW2 related Video games?

I'm currently completely aware that there aren't a lot of games with Italy and Imperial Japan included. (Japan is in Men of War but only in Multiplayer) Poland and France- well I could include them in the list if ANYONE would like to play as French or as Polish. No offence to those two countries of course. Poland did fight bravely however- their tactics were kinda too old...

Anyhow.

Which faction you'd like to play the most in World War 2 related games. The Axis nations or as the Mighty Allies. In Company of Heroes you can play on both sides and there are several other games which allow you to play on every side. Now the question is which one would be the most favorite from the Axis allies or Allies allies.

USA - The typical which is always in a WW2 Game included.
Soviet Union - Almost in every.
British - Typically in every
Nazi-Germany - Not in every game as a available side to play on
Italy - Have ya guys seen this faction in a WW2 game? I only can come up with Axis vs Allies

And if you are so kind, could you as well tell the audience- why you play the faction

Mod is a different thing really in my mind than real company published game. But that's just me. For example Company of Heroes has no Soviet union but the modification of Eastern Front gives us Soviet Union once the mod is done x)
And yes I've heard it, I tried it out but I didn't like it that much for some reason.

I say that I'd like to play with Nazi-Germany. Not because of political ideologics or anything politic or national crap and not because Nazi Germany helped Finland to last versus Soviet bear.
But because of the technology, Nebels, rocket artillery, well trained infantry, Heavy awsome tanks, and so on. As well because it gets boring how people always mock Germans and so on...I've played few rounds too much with US (Call of Duty, etc...) xD


Guys don't insult belgium its a tiny bit of land. How could they have lasted?

I usually play as Germany or Brits... I commonly do so in the S:HoWW2/FoW/MoW franchise.

Japan was cut from the final release of MoW, which saddens me as i was looking forward to a new faction.

I think you got some history wrong there pal. By that logic; America is a British Colony.

HOI 2 has Italy as playable faction (Fun taking over Great Britain and helping to invade Moscow ^.^)

Usually I play for the germans, K98 and Pzkpfwg. 4 Ausf. H in your face is just a lot of fun. (Though Running around in a Panther is just as great, I don´t like using heavy stuff because it is important and I let others do the dirty work with em.)

Forgotten Hope is a lot of fun, can only recocmend it for ppl that always want to bring in the "realism" factor into EiR

Haha, and the cromwell is it's butt-ugly older sister. And the churchill is the fat one. If the Matilda was in I'd call it their mum.

Really though, Germany is winning overwhelmingly here. The allies are just not cool enough. Especially the Americans.

Draken, powaznie powiedz mi w ilu grach sa polacy jako frakcja? Jasne bardzo chetnie bym pogral I Brygada Pancerna czy Samodzielna brygada Sosabowskiego, ale wiele gier pomija watek polakow, 2 batalion commando to w wiekszosci polacy, ale co z tego skoro nikt o tym niewie.

When the discussion is about World War 2 the factions were Nazi-Germany, Soviet Union (Yes there were no Russian back then, the Russian Federation was born once Soviet Union fell apart) and Imperial Japan. Not simply Germany, Russia and Japan but Nazi-Germany, Soviet Union and Imperial Japan =p

Medieval,  Empires: Total War, Forgotten Hope, no w sumie ciężko jest coś znaleźć, jesteśmy trochę zapomnieni :-(
