Tried playing angoville twice and it gave me a sync error at startup.
It also gave 500 VPs for both sides so I'm guessing somethings wrong.
All other maps work fine but for some reason angoville doesn't.

Argh, those are useless. How are you launching the game? Those look like -dev wasn't used in the command line...

I was able to play on Angoville fine with battle #2 in VP mode.

Can you make sure your EuropeInRuins.module file has the following command line listed:
AutoCmd = -nomovies -dev -modname EuropeInRuins
About 10 lines down in the file...
