Smokaz (PE Tank hunters + Terror) - Scynonyms (Terror) vs Pak (Engineers + Armor) - jackmccrack (Armor)
Was a GG, I had a hetzer left other than whats on the field. Little arty, pershing, tank hunters, churchills etc.
PE fights and dies, tiger ace relaxes. Open your eyes for how useless this unit is, people. It gets disabled and then you have 17 pop doing nothing including your unusable repair blob. Get a king tiger if you want to soak hits.

I think it served it's purpose there, it took alot of hits and tied down AT units. besides just because something doesn't get the killing blow doesn't mean it didn't consume it's cost worth of units.

brn4meplz brings up an interesting point that I had not thought about earlier.
I was so focused on remanning AT Guns I forgot to combat the PGs cutting me down from the buildings.
The Tiger Ace distracted me and I payed the price.

Ah, but if you want something that can take hits, the king tiger is in the same doctrine. And it is MUCH better at taking hits.

Yes but the KT costs more and moves slower. The Ace still fulfills the damage soaking role and moves around the field qucik enough to avoid stickies and be a stop gap in places, and when the need is present a breakthrough tool. Besides with a KT your not likely to get much more then 1 other tank, with an Ace you can have at least 2 depending on the type you want, or more assorted light vehicles. everything serves a role, some better then others, but you wouldn't see 3 Panzer 4's going up against that much AT like his Ace did. First because their combined population is insane, and second because you'd lose at least 2 of them if not all 3 to button and ATG's

i think the ace is not necessarily useless but it costs really too much PP which u dont wanna lose when u field the ace..
i tested the ace only 1 time and the very first shot it did, it killed 5 rifles
