This error type means that the launcher was unable to establish a connection to our server. Most likely, because you have a firewall activated that's blocking the connection. If you experience this error and you are unable to resolve it by configuring your firewall, you will have to download your battle files manually from the control panel and start the game with the EuropeInRuinsMod.exe executable.
In addition, you'll have to make sure you keep your client up to date manually by always downloading the most recent version.
