The situation with OMG and EiR is kinda sad. U think about it, and it gets u down (sounds weird i know). It used to be one big, coloful contented group. Nowadays u go into the EiR vent and its just like "why?". And the same for the OMG vent. why split it? why not join em? maybe the devs and mods from both sides shood think of some compromise or something.

Like i said. Its kinda sad.

Personally I think we gained a lot more community than we lost with the release of EiR:R. Certain hours can be very dry.. but I still see 25-30 people in the launcher at peak hours most times.

This topic has such a sensitive and convoluted history that it's probably left not to talk about it. There are issues with both sides that we want to remain put to sleep, as dragging them back up only results in unwanted conflict. I know you guys are probably extremely interested to know what the goings on about the whole thing were, but its better left unsaid I'm afraid; maybe one day we can talk about it without people getting hot headed. We should stop looking at the 'What ifs?' and focus on the 'What is'.

While numbers may be low at the moment, it's partiality due to college and university starting again, I know I speak for myself that once University started again, my game time took a massive hit, add working a job into the mix and you don't get too much free time. Once people start getting back into the rhythm of work, uni and gaming, it'll pick up again; it's always like this at this time of the year.

I just want THTB to know that whatever he does, he hurts US, not them not akranadas. He hurts us and our free time when trying to have a few games. And it hurts omg too, because his actions reflect on the mod.
There are people i respect over there, and i'm lokking forward to test their mod when everything they have planned comes in. But all this bullshit, and crono coming to steer things up is a deterent.

Its good, that we can give some message across through a public thread, so pls keep the flamewar for yourselves. And also to the mods, pls dont lock this. (at least unless it turns to into that)

P.S I have seen that both mods are quite different. We have to realize that, emerging is not option anymore, and i think its for the best. Co-existing peacefully is what the focus should be. Let both mods prosper.

Hear, hear. For whatever reasons the split happened, both mods are now fundamentally different that merging them together is going to be impossible, given how much work both dev teams have done. The point that OMG and OMG-players are different is a good one. I just saw a post on the OMG forums where the devs removed a post that was criticising EiR:R.

Their vent also is implementing similar security measures as EiR:R's due to similar reasons. Don't let a few bad eggs spoil the atmosphere of either mod.

In the end, all I want as a gamer, regardless of game or type, is something fun to play, as easily as possible.

I think im cool with donate some money. But just in this rare case. Would never donate too another mod, this mod is really the greatest! 

(Need to get some money first, cant even afford a mic atm lol)
