Rangers 4 thompsons - 140 mun
Fallschirms 4 FG42 - 140 mun
KCH 3 mp44 - 110 mun
Assault Grens 4 mp44 - 135 mun
Stormtroopers 2 mp44 - 120 mun

Average cost for 2 assault weapons seems to be 70 mun for 2.

Looking at shrecks:
WM Shreck: 120 mun
Stormtrooper Shreck: 150 mun
Extra cost for cloak bonus: 30 mun or 25%

Following this logic:
2 mp44s for stormtroopers should be 87.5 mun, or say 90 mun.

Stormtrooper MP44s are really overpriced considering that only 2 are purchased and stormtroopers are not that durable. The cloak bonus makes them lethal, but right now they are almost double cost of the average assault weapon.

mp44 are better than thompsons, expecially at mid range, plus they are on a strong durable unit that can cloack and ambush pretty well, I think 90 is too much for a price decrease, but maybe 100 munitions is a correct price for them, but maybe it should be kchs 120 mu and stormies 110-100.

Rangers are strong and durable and get fireup, that's hardly a winning argument. I think 90-100 is fair.

I'd rather have something else for my Stormtroopers than MP44s I mean they are expensive and you only get 2 of them per buy. So you have to buy them 2x to get a strong Ambushing infantry section that is cable to take down infantry only.

Rangers with Bazookas and tommies and fire up gets pretty much more damage done both Anti-Tank and Anti-Infantry wise...

Nightrain you have to remember the key to Wehrmacht is specialization - it's how their army is designed. You get a basic unit, and you upgrade it for a specialized task. Americans work the other way: you get a basic unit, then you upgrade it for a broad range of tasks.

For instance, grenadiers. They get a powerful anti-infantry gun or powerful anti-tank gun (or one of each, but I see that only rarely due to the munitions that takes and targeting priority issues), which makes them very good at one thing but very expensive and killable by another thing. Stormtroopers are the same way, generally speaking. It's rare to see a schrek and a slot of mp44s due to the smaller squad size that implies specialization.

Riflemen, on the other hand, can get stickybombs for okay-ish anti vehicle use, but lose no anti infantry power unlike the grens and their schrek, or some BARs which play into the strength they already have of mobility, and generic use. BARs doesn't turn them into dedicated anti-infantry machines, it just makes them do the exact same thing they did before but without detriment. The LMG42, however, turns the grenadiers into an anti-infantry squad at close range rather than long range if you want to take advantage of the upgrade - it changes their use to be a specialized one, I guess.

exactly. Rangers aren't nearly as durable as Stormtroopers. At 85 per man, stormies are the 2nd strongest unit in the game after kch. At 65 hpm, rangesr are one of the weakest and as they lose men, they lose serious attack power. Especially if you have them fully upgraded, when they get to 4 men or less, they have issues with firing their bazookas, if they even have it anymore. Sometimes it'll show they've got the bazoooka (with the +2 or +4 for tanks) but, if you look at them, they wont have the weapon, not so for storms,  you can have one man left and he'll have the schreck and he can still be a powerful unit because he can still cloak and fire.

1 man left in ranger squad < 1 man left in storm squad.

actually, when rangers get to down 2-3 men, they're pretty much useless for doing anything, they just die way too fast, storms on the other hand and even fsj are still good after losing men. Leave their price where they are, just get the muni advantage and you'll be fine. Y ou don't see any allies complaining about the ap rounds going up by 10 muni to 50, or getting one less sticky bomb for the same price,  (4/80 now 3/80) or the high price of a triage (140 mu) leave storms alone, if you make them too cheap, you make them an OP unit.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

The thompson was very much nerfed recently by the PE armor type change, and stormtroopers received a substantial buff to supression resistance.  Stormies are ambush units and assault weapons are very powerful in their hands.  And in my experience a 1x mp44 squad can compete with a thompson squad on an equal basis.

I just watched a 3 man thompson squad kill a stormtrooper squad without a single loss. I believe good sir, that you are on crack and or cocaine.

stormtroopers without upgrades ought to be able to knock off a 3 man thompson squad under all but ideal conditions for the rangers. Someone dun fucked up.

Oh come on guys. Stormtroopers are weaker & cheaper, but they can camo and that makes all the difference in the world.

Any stormtrooper squad that lets the rangers set the terms of the fight got outplayed, simple as that. No DPS advantage will save you if the other guy opens fire all of a sudden from heavy cover.

***

the original post reasons on the basis that thompsons are equivalent to mp44s. They are not.  Mp44s are superior to thompsons.

The reason MP44s have the price they do is because of spam. And because that spam was very, very effective. There might be a case for lowering mp44 price on stormies, but 'omg thompsons' is not it.

Quick question to someone in the know, is there a difference between assault gren MP44s and Storm MP44s?

no difference of the weapon itsself only difference between how many ppl get the mp44 in a squad

buying one mp44 upgrade means 2 storms get it

buying an assault gren squad means everyone get the mp44
