I just want some Capture and Hold style fighting.

3-4 Capture points, if the attacker can hold 1-2 of them for such and such time they win.

It should be too hard, that's as long as the maps are edited for it/made for it. I mean, the second Mission in CoH has a similar setup already.

how about a gamemode where you play 2 short games: 1st one axis attack, 2nd allies attack.
maybe even some sort of no reinfrocing your company untill those 2 games are over(or get them together in one game? after half the time allies cant respawn for some time, arty line pops up and axis get time to defend, next game continues...

how about a game mode like CoD world at war's War game type where a specific nutral location must be takin and the fraction who lost the location is forced back and upon taking the fallback positition can counter attack and take the orignal position. this would iduce certain "hot spots" on any map and would keep the battle feild flexable as you must keep attacking to take the locations. this can be tie to pop cap gain as the more locations team 1 controls the more pop they will recive and less team 2 will recive. i recomend trying the game mode on CoD world at war.

You could even put a ticker objective in as the objective like in regular Coh.

For those Victory point games, you'd probably want to put 3 in a 2v2 (in a sense where 2 are relatively towards each others spawn and 1 is really contested for, the other is there in case the game is a blowout) and maybe extend it to 5 in a 3v3, and if possible, 7 in a 4v4 (maps such as ardenne valley or french countryside would benefit greatly from this).
