Mgallun sometimes when u are under atack enemy seems to be outnumbering you, "he is MULTIPLYING" Sometimes 2 stugs and 4 grens can look like 10 stugs and 10 grens  Tongue

Or it was just annihilation mode?

Quote
Last time I played *I think* everyone could have anything, not only the people you play against.

The problem with coh is that outteching your enemy is part of "skill", u can beat your enemy when he is completly defenceless, if u build m8 and catch your enemy without any at it's gg for him.

I'm curious why all those pro vanilla players when beaten by EiR players raise their ego by giving offers like "play me bitch in coh, cmon 1v1 at"

Vanilla and EiR are 2 diffrent mods on Essence engine.

lol never had such a game...maybe in 1.2 where stug spam was very common against plasma shield smoke shermans...

that was in times were a stug won 1v1 vs a at57mm (without AP rounds) and most people did not even teched to tankdepot because they spamed calliopes after 3 cp with sherman gun (50% slower shooting and a calliope barrage was something like 125 muni :p)

i would consider a stug/greni blob vs m10 ranger blob game as noobwars nowadays

So many people came from vcoh thinking they were hotshots, then found out theyre not and left to the spam/arti heaven that is vcoh. :p
Unfortunately they had to micro here, spam would get them nowhere.
They came here saying, hooray i got a pershing and a bunch of rifles now im gonna pwn.
What ? I have to micro to win ? I have to think of how to use my forces tactically?  Huh

You think its quite an accomplishment to get to a high lvl in vcoh. We all got to a high lvl in automatch, so what.
I left vcoh because i was sick of spamming and blindless linear gameplay.
Go go, ultra spam rifles + fast bars+ m8 or m10. I will love doing this for the next 100 times :p

Honestly, the fundamental difference between vCoH and EiR is build orders, map strategy and teching.

vCoH is extremely limited in the sense that without following a certain build order, or map strategy, it is simply not efficient at all. I think vCoh is subject to the requirement of having a lot of experience and playing widely on all the maps with focus on limited, extremely situation-specific tactics.

In EiR, given the freedom of getting whatever you want, it becomes a game of picking the most cost-efficient troops, combined with doctrines or whatever, to form the most effective fighting force and to apply your strategy into the game. The maps are rather varied and wide, allowing many different types of play, ranging from heavy artillery centric players, gradual advance, aggressive pushes etc etc.

What good vCoH players normally lack when they first played EiR is that they are unfamiliar with the concept of holding ground, they are not used to "unconventional" warfare and they have little experience in defending positions under artillery fire or against flanking attacks.

I do not dispute the fact that new vcoh players (who are good players) are very aggressive and good in their micro, but they lose out "macro-wise". EiR players on the other hand, while good at managing many aspects of "holding ground" will lose out in 'base-building' and cutting off of resources in vCoH, as well as teching and build orders.

In short, apples and oranges can't be compared to each other.

I've been playing vCOH a lot lately and now that i've clawed my way up the automatch ranks it's just like you guys said...same old build orders, same old map tactics. I haven't solidified my builds yet, but it's pretty obvious....fighting brit? Piospam lol. Ami? Volkspam

Lame Sad It does have it's moments though, like when I successfully pull off an infantry assault at the top bridge in Scheldt, or claw back victory from a 6-240 VP game on the back of a KT and grenspam (frickin exhilarating).

Most of the time it sucks, even so.

I stopped at 10, 2v2s. Prefered them from 1v1s, teamplay is more interesting to me.

Ugh. Riflespam is such a joke now. There's nothing to discourage them from it because the hardcounter doesn't work for shit.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

akra is involved deeply in Relic ^^.

If we have poor vCoH balance and the breaking of our awesome little/big mod, we can always blame akranadas now.

Let the angry PMs begin!

So now axis will get mini calliopie with gun = Hotchkiss H-35 with walking stuka.

Which will be even harder to kill then calli probably, in EiR environment it can be uber pwn machine.
