hear hear leaf. that sums up my thoughts well. vcoh just does not feel tactical at all for me, i can't take the games seriously with the spam, i didnt mean 1v1 is spammy, i only played a few and they were fine, but my favorite aspect of EIRR is that the most fun and tactical games i have in EIR are 3v3 I think that is where eirr shines. vcoh on the other hand shines at 1v1, but to me it just isn't as fun.
OK where is the spam? i just played a 1v1 where the wher play spammed MGs, he had 5 of them, mgs flame pios, and goliaths, that's all he built. by the time I got sniper/mortar, i was too far behind to catch up, it was fucking retarded.

as I said, ignore HMGs until they're unignorable, or instantly get yourself a counter, rather than wait till you can't ignore them anymore...
Piospam only ever worked vs brits, and goliaths??? How ARE you letting him get 125 munitions for each of his goliath in the first place? :S

it was ridiculous i tell you! I started off with 2 engs and started building rifles. I go to one side of the map (it was langes btw) and he has an MG in the building, I think ok no big deal. I can flank this MG no problem, I go to flank it, and after a few shots at it... another MG, so I say forget that side of the map go back to base and get my supply yard out I go to start capping the other side... and he has MGs in both those buildings, I'm like wtf. Then I'm pretty much surrounded by MGs, I can't flank any of them because they are in houses so I back tech to WSC, and then just said fuck it I knew the next thing would of been some kind of ostwind or some other kind of spam. my rank is 7 for US, I just never came across MG spam like that, if I knew that was the only unit he was going to produce, I would of gone straight to WSC instead of supply yard. It's def a one trick pony because I won't let it get me again.

Your mistake was going Supply Depot. Usually when I play Americans, its either instant tech to motorpool + M8, or just slow tech rax + wsc.
Getting grenades at that time could do more good for you, allowing you to flush out the MGs over the hedgerow the middle of the map if I'm not wrong.
You should also get a couple of engineers with flamethrowers to swarm a particular spot. The idea of americans if u ask me, is to swarm and overwhelm the wehr in a sector and then slowly over run the rest.
I'm lvl 10 1v1 on both allies and axis currently.

How do you 'fast tech' to Motorpool without getting a Supply Yard first...?
Unless they changed this since I last played vCOH on a serious level

eh i think it is obviously enough that the supply depot has to be build before the TD or MP
otherwise a M8 would come before wehr even had the ressources to build anything that could counter it (except fausts)

I'm just saying that he should either go instantly, Supply Yard --> Motorpool --> M8, or don't bother at all... while it does give you some benefits of a upgrade decrease, it isn't worth setting yourself back 100 Manpower which can be used for grenades.

1vs1 in vcoh are pretty easy ikf your allies, i usually go with engies+flamers+Airbourne+m8 or Quad=WIN, shrecks are too expensive to counter quads that early in the game

paks, however, aren't. Especialy since you can even get StuGs by then(not to mention paks!), as well as Marders.
(15+50+45=110 fuel for MP 130 FU for first Quad, 140 FU for first greyhound, 15+35+50+35=135 for the Sturm Armory 170 for first Puma, 185 for first StuG, 20+30+40=90 fuel for marders, 130 FU for first marder)

Not true, Thats only if you assume that they don't get their veterancy. Support Weapon Vet 1 does wonders for your MGs.
Unvetted Wehr troops are quite poor against americans. Even if you brought up a puma or stug, a combination of rifles w/ Bars + ATG can easily set back the wehr player significantly. Add some elite infantry (AB/Rangers) the wehr will have a really tough time without T2 imo.
