There is nothing that can be worked on nugnugx.

Anything I implement / test now - might be broken next patch - or, worst case, we never get what we need again.

Sorry - but 4+ months of development down the drain possibly, Im not going to risk more.

In the meantime we are taking a break, im back to painting and starting some new modeling projects and tbh enjoying it. 

Its allowing the creative batteries to recharge and have already come up with some new game ideas for when we do go live again (keeping the hope alive here).

Yeah it feels great to have a break from this game, my patch screwed up cause of all the unoficial files and now i'll have to reinstall it. Screw that. I'll wait till ToV is out, all problems ironed.
In the meantime i wanna go back to try NTW2 (a napoleonic total war modification). Unfortunately i dont know a lot good games from that era (ETW doesnt count ). If you do pls recommend. Or get to try men of war.
Certainly this break is appreciated.

yes i do, napoleonics mainly though i dabble in some flames of war,

I recently did a stock take of my collection currently in 15mm i have approx 2500 painted minatures split across 2 collections austrians and french,  the austrians feature with the most at 1400 minatures.

Just started putting together a small british force in 28mm as well for the peninsular so that should be more than enough to keep me occupied for a long long time. 

That blog has pictures of just about all the austrians if you search through the history.

Strangely enough, since the patch there are actually more games appearing in the launcher... So many that they go down of the "create" button... Like this...



...all those games (along with what's in the chat box) have appeared since the patch, but whenever I go in there, no one else is ever visible in the "players online" box and no one ever answers when I chat... One thing's for sure, something strange is going on... Are these people still somehow operating on the previous patch or something?

EDIT: Quick update... Every single one of the games from the above screenshot has since vanished...

Yes, I removed them.

They are phantom - those people created and/or joined a game, then quit the launcher without leaving the battle.

seriously,
get some message on the news section of the launcher. you did it on vent, you did it on the site, but not all newbs look there.
as you can see on this topic http://forums.europeinruins.com/index.php?topic=8970.msg155770;topicseen#new there are alot of new ppl discovering EIR.
tell them the mod is not working atm before they all think THIS(pic) , leave the community and never playing EIR again.


and please keep it simple, we dont need another story about shooting babys
