Due to Relic cutting back on map descriptions in their Tales of Valor expansion, all maps with over 30 characters in description will now crash the game upon trying to select. This means a lot if not the vast majority of maps in EIR's map database (and included with the installer) are now broken.

I would strongly urge ALL mappers, especially those who have maps included with the modification, to hotfix this ASAP!
Post the link to your hotfixed map here and once we have gathered them all we will write up a new installer, get a new map database and ensure everyone downloads the hotfix

If someone could be so kind and tell me which maps do not crash the game that would be very much appreciated.

Crash & need fixing ASAP:
Arras:
Abbeville Winter:
St. winn
Road to Carentan
Vierville

Do not crash:
Crossroads
Church
Venue
Tanteville
Vengeance
Ghost Town

You can also use this list to determine which maps you can play for now

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

Why don't you collect up your love beads and potpourri and find something constructive to do.

Short descriptions for the win!

Let me know if there are any maps by AFK mappers that crash and I can unpack, fix, and repack.

Perhaps the descriptions should just be altered to read the makers name, and the date published? That shouldn't take up more than 30 chars...

Ah, roger.  Will get on that.  Check Salan's custom relic remakes.  I don't think he made long descriptions, but should check.

We are serious about enforcing this, and I am sure you all want to be able to have your balance thought considered by the development team with some biased, sensationalist coming into your thread and ruining it.
